What is Worth Choosing?
What makes Le Vin Coeur a truly worthwhile choice for any New Yorker is its ability to create an authentic and captivating experience that feels both unique and familiar. It is more than just a place to get a drink; it’s a destination for those who appreciate the art of a well-poured glass and the pleasure of good company in a beautiful setting. The bar’s primary allure is its wine and food pairing. The menu is thoughtfully designed to complement the wine selection, offering classic French dishes that are both comforting and elegant. For a light start, you can choose from the "Pour L'apéro" section, which includes simple yet perfect options like a "Bread Basket" and "Olives" to awaken the palate. The "Tartine De Brie" and "Tartine De Champignons" are excellent choices for a rich and savory beginning, providing a taste of classic French small plates that are ideal for sharing over conversation.
The culinary offerings extend into more substantial fare, proving that Le Vin Coeur is a serious contender for a full meal, not just a pre-dinner stop. The "Dishes" menu presents classic French comfort foods with a flair. The "Croque Monsieur" is a timeless favorite, a simple grilled ham and cheese sandwich elevated to a level of rich, savory perfection that is hard to resist. The "French Mac & Cheese" is another testament to the kitchen's ability to take a familiar dish and infuse it with French soul, creating a creamy and indulgent experience. For those with more adventurous tastes, the "Tartare De Boeuf Au Couteau" and "1/2 Dozen Oysters" showcase a commitment to classic bistro cuisine, offering fresh, high-quality selections that are expertly prepared. These dishes elevate the bar from a simple watering hole to a genuine dining spot.
Beyond the individual menu items, the sharing boards are a major reason to choose Le Vin Coeur for a group or date night. The "3 Fromages" board, "1 Charcuterie," and the impressive "Combo Board" are designed for communal enjoyment, fostering an atmosphere of sharing and connection. Pairing a selection of expertly chosen cheeses and cured meats with a superb bottle of wine is the very essence of a great evening out. To top off the experience, the dessert menu offers a final touch of indulgence. The "Profiteroles Au Caramel" and "Baulois Gâteau Au Chocolat" are the perfect way to conclude a delicious meal, providing classic French sweets that are both decadent and satisfying. In a city where every bar seems to be trying to outdo the next with a gimmick, Le Vin Coeur’s genuine commitment to classic French hospitality and quality stands out. The combination of a truly "cozy" and welcoming ambiance, a "superb" wine selection, and "exceptional" food makes it a rare find. It is a place where you can relax, feel at home, and savor every moment, making it a truly worthwhile choice for any New Yorker seeking a little escape and a lot of heart.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1On a hot weekday, we decided to get a glass of wine and walked into this cute place. Not too crowded, and we were seated immediately by the friendly host. We ordered a white and an orange wine, along with escargot and fries. The wines were great, and we really enjoyed the cozy ambiance. As we paid our bill, our hostess graciously offered us glasses of champagne, which was a nice touch. It's a superb spot for a date night or a small group. Definitely coming back here!
July 16 · Meera MohanA delightful tucked away surprise! The ambience is warm and inviting, the staff is attentive, and the wine selection is superb. The food and champagne were both exceptional. I’ll definitely be recommending this spot and returning soon!
July 15 · Aaliyah TidwellA Hidden Gem for French Wine Lovers in NYC!Le Vin Coeur is an absolute delight. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and vibrant — the kind of place where you can lose track of time over a great glass of wine. The selection of French wines is truly impressive, featuring both iconic regions and lesser-known gems ( like Pic Saint Loup !) that any wine enthusiast will appreciate. What really sets this place apart is the team: knowledgeable, welcoming, and full of energy. Whether you're a seasoned wine lover or just discovering French wines, you're in very good hands here. Highly recommend!
May 13 · Jerome SchmeltzLovely bartender/owner? was super attentive, and helped get us a cheeseboard after we arrived late and the kitchen had closed. Cheese was great! Also offered to move us to a quieter table after some other guests were a little noisy (we declined but I appreciated that he was actively looking out for our comfort). Wine was delicious too, will definitely be back. :)
August 11 · Heather McPhersonAdorable little French wine bar with tasty cheese and other food options. The owner is super nice and friendly and offered us some free splashes once we’d settled up. I walked in and like multiple different groups were speaking French and other languages, so it felt like a fun international hangout. And of course, most importantly, the wine selection wad great. Highly recommend!
