Little Banchan Shop has earned a stellar reputation for its commitment to quality and fresh, authentic flavors. The business shares its space with Meju, a Michelin-starred restaurant from acclaimed chef Hooni Kim, which is a testament to the high standards of the food produced here. While Meju offers an exclusive, high-end tasting menu experience, Little Banchan Shop focuses on more accessible, everyday Korean dishes and, of course, a wide variety of banchan. This dual concept ensures that customers can enjoy food made with the same high-quality ingredients and attention to detail as a Michelin-starred establishment, but in a casual and convenient setting. The atmosphere is noted as casual, and the clientele is often family-friendly, making it a welcoming place for everyone. The shop is a great option for those seeking healthy food choices, with many vegetarian options and an emphasis on fresh, organic dishes.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A great little Korean food spot - the food is excellent and the online ordering is smooth and fast. This restaurant is shared with Meju, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and thus you can expect the food to be extremely high quality - even the meats seem to be sourced the same (Niman ranch). Overall, we loved our meals - the bibimbap was particularly excellent. The ingredients are really fresh, we’ll definitely come back
August 10 · Blake RasmussenI’ve been a loyal customer for years, ordering many times and always enjoying the food especially the aged kimchi stew. It used to be one of my favorites. But this time was really disappointing. For $19.50, I got just four small pieces of tofu and a few bits of pork, most of it just fat. It honestly felt like a joke. The portion was so small and sloppy like no care was put into it at all.I’ve always thought the price was worth it because the quality was solid. But after this, I feel like I was ripped off. It’s really frustrating to see a place I used to trust drop in quality like this. I won’t be ordering again.
June 17 · Jihye WooDelicious Korean banchan and dishes like jjajangmyeon, jjampong, soondubu jjigae. You can pick something from the refrigerator and they’ll heat it up so you can eat it there with rice and tea. I really wish they had dishes rather than takeout containers for eating there, but I guess it’s convenient if you have leftovers.Prices are a bit high. For instance, the kimchi jjigae at Tosokchon is $19 and is heartier, comes with rice and banchan. Here, it is $19.50 plus $2.75 for rice.
June 08 · Christina YungThe best gimbap (beef). It runs out fast. I love to try ginseng tea but it ran out two times i visited. Banchans are tasty. I recommend bean sprouts, anchovies and fish cakes(not the spicy ones).Kitchen closes at 8 pm although store opens til 9 pm so u cannot take out after 8.
August 28 · Jon OnTheBeatWe were so grateful to have Little Banchan Shop provide the Korean food for our wedding catering, and it was truly one of the highlights of the day! The dishes were absolutely delicious - authentic, nostalgic, flavorful, and loved by all of our guests.A very special thank you to Chef Hooni, who went above and beyond to help us. He guided us through the entire process - from recommending the right amount of food to providing detailed cooking and preparation instructions - making sure everything turned out perfectly. Even though the restaurant only provided the food (no on-site service), it was packaged with such care, and with Catharine (the store manager) and Chef Hooni’s guidance, everything came together seamlessly. Many of our guests raved about the food and asked where it was from. We couldn’t have been happier, and we’ll absolutely be back again. If you’re looking for authentic Korean cuisine, whether for a special occasion or a regular meal, this place is a true gem!
