★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I absolutely loved Qahwah Valley! It was an amazing representation of Yemen—everything from the atmosphere to the flavors made me feel seen and connected to my culture. The food was delicious, full of authentic taste, and the experience overall was incredibly warm and welcoming. I’m so glad a place like this exists—it made me feel truly represented.
June 12 · Shatha AlmontaserOne of the best Adeni coffee we've tried recently. The pomegranate hibiscus tea was also very refreshing. Both drinks we got unsweetened. Their sabaya (Yemeni layered pancake made without sugar) drizzled with honey was also great. Tried the Dubai chocolate which had more milk chocolate taste than pistachio cream. The tahini maamoul cookies were simple while good and complemented well with the coffee.Beautiful spacious interior with modern lovely Islamic decor. We sat outside on a nice hot summer day so definitely appreciated the umbrella available providing much needed shade.
July 28 · Mandy KuoThe food here is delicious but a little overpriced. The dubai chocolate bar was the highlight. The sahlep was very rich and sweet, but the toffee frappe was mediocre. I would come again for the chcolate bar and sahlep. This cafe is beautifully designed and clean. It's also quiet so it's a great place to work or study, but there is no wifi.
June 25 · JaeHee KwakNestled in the bustling heart of Midtown Manhattan, Qahwa Valley Cafe is a true hidden treasure that offers a transportive experience into the heart of Yemen coffee culture. From the moment you walk through the door, the aroma of fresh spices and roasted coffee beans sets the stage for what can only be described as an unforgettable visit. The star of the show here is the tea —rich, bold, and brewed with a level of care and expertise that instantly sets it apart from your typical city café. Whether you’re savoring a traditional qahwa spiced with cardamom or a more modern drink, the depth of flavor is truly remarkable. Their tea selection is thoughtful, with delicate blends that are both soothing and aromatic, served in traditional glassware that adds to the authenticity. But the real surprise lies in their pastries. From flaky, to soft, every item on the menu is handcrafted and incredibly fresh. Each bite captures the essence of Yemen hospitality and culinary heritage.Qahwa Valley Cafe is more than just a coffee stop—it’s a cultural experience. Warm service, inviting decor, and outstanding flavors make this place a must-visit destination for anyone in New York City.
May 14 · Alok TewariThis is a great coffee shop. There's free wifi and plenty of outlets, comfortable chairs, and quiet tasteful music that doesn't distract you from work. Clean and beautifully decorated too. It was not at all too crowded, and a huge bonus is that it's open late so it's great for relaxing or focusing. Lots of coffee shops in NYC nowadays are very stingy with Internet use or laptops, but this place has very generous portions and does not mind if you sit for a while. I got a pastry and a pot of qishir and it came with a votive warmer and a complimentary dish of dates. This is a cut above most coffee shops in the city! Loved it here and will definitely be back.
