What is Worth Choosing at Lo Duca Pizza
Lo Duca Pizza isn’t just another slice joint; it’s a destination for quality Italian-American cooking deeply rooted in Brooklyn tradition. What makes it truly worth choosing is the sheer depth of their menu combined with the assurance of a truly classic New York experience.
The pizza is undeniably the star. Customers frequently praise the classic New York slices—noting their thin, crispy crust and rich, perfectly balanced sauce-to-cheese ratio. The Sicilian and Deep Dish Pan Pizzas are standout specialties, offering a heartier, more complex flavor profile than most neighborhood spots. If you're a fan of a thick, doughy, but still crisp square, the Upside Down Sicilian is often highlighted by regulars as a hidden gem, where the cheese is layered directly on the dough and the sauce is on top. This is the kind of pizza that earns loyal customers.
Beyond the pies, their Hot Heroes and Baked Specialties are a powerful draw. A Chicken Parmigian Hero or a generous portion of Baked Ziti provides the ultimate in satisfying comfort food—made with the same high-quality ingredients as their award-winning pizza. The Philly Cheese Steak hero selection also shows their versatility, blending regional favorites with classic Italian techniques.
Ultimately, choosing Lo Duca Pizza means opting for authenticity, quality, and community. You’re supporting a family business that has been perfecting its craft for over three decades in Brooklyn. As one long-time patron noted, it’s a spot "always fresh and very tasty," with a crew that keeps up the "great work." For a slice that embodies the history and flavor of New York City, look no further than your next stop at Lo Duca Pizza in Newkirk Plaza. It’s more than a meal; it’s a beloved local tradition.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Just moved to the area and wanted some pizza. Love the location, as it's close to the train stop. The gentlemen working were kind and working hard. Had the veggie slice and a square basil and garlic piece. Both were thin, crispy, full of flavor. I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend.
July 12 · Alexandra TillapaughThis family owned by 3 brothers is my favourite pizza 🍕 spot. It's always fresh and very tasty. Every time I'm near there, I have to stop in and enjoy some of the many varieties of pizza they have. I have been going there for many years . Keep up the great work guys see you soon. 👍
September 18 · Brooklyn BikerOne of the best pizzerias I have ever been. The sauce, cheese, and crust are absolutely perfect. You don’t feel heavy even after a few slices, which essentially concludes on the quality of the pizza. I even walked half a mile to bring back home, and it was astounding even when not hot.
February 27 · Prashant VasudevanThe best pizza in Brooklyn, in my humble opinion. We moved to Bushwick for a while and I fantasized about having this pizza again. The pizza, sauce, cheese, crust ratio is perfection. Also they take the ingredients to the edge of the pizza too. So the right thing and try this pizza it will make your life better.
September 20 · Sonja LessleyI have had pizza all over nyc and America and this is ok. Di fara’s on J and L & B Spumoni gardens on 86th are way better options. Although the pizza is decent, it gets crowded, you can tell some of the pizza sits for a long time and then they over heat it and the thicker slices can be dry. If you ask questions they can be rude and abrupt. Decent local spot but not my first choice.
