★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We enjoyed our dinner at Margot. We grabbed a late reservation on a Saturday and were happily seated before the time on a busy evening. Really liked the salad verte. It was very large and had a really nice dressing on it. I did questioned the peas on it. We ordered it because of the peas and it being summer, but when it turned out they were cooked peas and may have been frozen peas which seemed incongruent with the rest of the very fresh salad. Another thing that I asked the waiter about was a little bit of grittiness that turned out to be bread crumbs. I would have preferred them to be noted and larger in size. But we made all gone with the salad. The tomato salad was also very good! I love a bit of purslane. We enjoy the artichokes with salsa verde. With both the tomato salad and the artichokes that would have been good to have some bread.Bread is offered on the menu in conjunction with prosciutto for $22.00. We didn't ask about getting just bread and that may be our bad.We also ordered the french fries which turned out not to be quite french fries but more like potato sticks. They were a trip down memory lane but not quite what I would describe as french fries. The Zuni style Chicken itself was tasty and a good size portion With a nice panzanella salad. The salmon was fine. There were more of those peas in the otherwise unflavored couscous. The dessert offerings were not compelling enough but we did enjoy our dinner. When we look back at the photos on Google it seemed like certain dishes like the pasta or more interesting in the past. That's why we didn't order any pasta. The descriptions seemed kind of plain for the price.
August 24 · Jackie Gordon Singing ChefIt was my first time eating at Margot and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Excellent service, great atmosphere, and above all, delicious food! If I had to recommend one dish, I’d go with the Homage to Zuni chicken, but honestly, whatever you order will be a great choice!
September 06 · Noa GurevichWe’ve been wanting to try Margot but tonight was a perfect surprise - couldn’t get into a restaurant nearby, got lucky with Margot. Food was delicious and the wine was so refreshing and lovely. Service was great, too. The focaccia was amazing and the spring vegetables were over the top. Must try. Glad that our neighborhood has one more lovely new spot. Can’t wait to come back again.
June 21 · Sheila XiaI went for solo dinner on a Saturday night and was able to snag a bar seat. The atmosphere is beautiful with the open windows and good music vibes. The natural rose wine and espresso martini were amazing. I ordered the lemon pasta, and it was standard, but the drinks, service and vibes made up for it. The bartender, Anna, was so friendly and made me feel very welcome as a solo diner. Plus, she makes amazing drinks. I’ll definitely be back!
July 12 · Sabrina SheikhMaybe one of the best dinners of my life. We have been to Margot many times, and the menu changes. This menu was insanely good. Jane was our server and steered us to the lemon pasta, the sea bass and the chicken. I can’t imagine a better meal. Jane made it special as she has been our server many times before and she is wonderful. Highly recommended.
