★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Looooved the atmosphere at this cute Puerto Rican owned cafe. The coquito latte?! AMAZING. My friend got the avocado toast and I got the breakfast sandwich on Mexican bread. 9/10! The only downfall was that people were comfortably seated and no one was really policing the tables, but my friend and I finally got a seat and were able to enjoy the experience a little better.
September 19 · Ke.I can tell that my experience was not as pleasant as I expected or as shown on Social Media. This was my first time visiting this place, almost all the tables were occupied and already served by the time that we arrived, reason why I don't understand why our food took so long to be served, we ordered 2 coffees, a pastelito and a avocado egg arepa. First thing I noticed is that they don't use a tray to bring the order to the table, they need to go back and forth to serve everything. Also one coffee came first, the other one after (I ordered the "famous Coquito Coffee" and it was a regular ice coffee with cream and a few coconut flakes and cinnamon on the top) doesn't not taste like coquito at all. Also we needed to go twice to the counter to ask for our food, we got first the pastelito and like 20 minutes later the arepa, which means that by the time the it arrived the pastelito was already cold (we were supposed to enjoy the coffee and meal together). They even gave us complimentary pastelitos because they noticed we were not having it a pleasant experience, that was very considerate and appreciated but that wouldn't have been necessary if we had received adequate service. The place has potential but needs to improve to offer faster, better service.
June 15 · Xiomy AponteThe cafe has such a nice & cute aesthetic, if you’re hispanic you will definitely see something in here that will give you a sense of nostalgia to your homeland. The first time I came here I wasn’t sure what to order and the staff member at the counter was so helpful in guiding me. I ordered the iced coquito latte which let me tell you was AMAZING. I also ordered their egg sandwich that has turkey cheese and a guava spread, 10/10. I came here on another occasion and ordered their chicken sandwich which is also 10/10 delicious. Highly recommend visiting or stopping by if you’re in the hackensack and bergen county area.
August 28 · Elleny TorresIf I could give this establishment 10 stars I would. From the atmosphere, to the food, and especially the customer service. Everything was beyond phenomenal. I was able to have a conversation with one of the owners and she’s such a kind individual. She was more than willing to make suggestions based on my likes and she did not disappoint.I decided to get the Coquito latte (iced) while my friend got it hot. Both ways are beyond delicious; emphasizing different flavor profiles in each variation. For food we tried the Waffle Bono, the pastelillos, and the arepa de yuca; delicious! Every item, in its own way! So flavorful and made fresh to order. I’ll certainly be making this cafe a regular spot for me.
March 03 · ColourMeJaeeeWent here on a whim. Staff was very welcoming! Inside decor is warm and inviting! Ordered the Avocado toast and a drip coffee not totaling the order in my head, I was a little sticker shocked at first. Then the Avocado toast came out and it was very worth the price! Quality, taste and appearance all tell me that this was a well thought out “munchie”! Very very happy with my experience and will be returning when I’m in the area! Oh yeah, the drip coffee was deliciously fresh as well!
