Marina Ice Cream Corp Introduce
## Introduction / Overview
The classic New York summer—or any season, for that matter—is simply incomplete without the perfect frozen treat. Whether it’s from a corner deli, a local grocery store, or a specialized retailer, that moment of biting into an ice cream bar or licking a cone is a quintessential urban experience. Behind that moment of sweet relief in much of the New York Metro area stands Marina Ice Cream Corp. Located right here in Brooklyn, this establishment is not your typical scoop shop with a few tables and chairs; it functions as a critical Direct Store Delivery (DSD) distributor, acting as a massive, specialized warehouse that supplies the ice cream freezers of countless local businesses across the region.
While the name and address might lead a local user to assume it's a traditional retail storefront, the reality, based on its business type and customer reviews, indicates a highly specific business focus: a large-scale distributor of frozen novelties. This is the place where local delis, convenience stores, and supermarkets—the spots where you actually buy your quick, character-branded ice creams—source their stock. The extensive list of novelty ice creams, like the popular Teen Titans Go and Powerpuff Girls Ice Cream products, clearly points to a business dealing in bulk, wholesale orders of branded frozen goods. This operational structure is essential for keeping the city's small-business freezers fully stocked with the trendy, kid-friendly, and classic favorites New Yorkers expect to find instantly available.
Marina Ice Cream Corp has a long-standing history in New York, founded back in 1983. It is currently part of the larger GlacierPoint Enterprises distribution network, highlighting its significant role as a leader in distributing major national and regional ice cream brands. The facility operates as the Brooklyn Distribution Center for this key supply chain, serving as a vital logistical hub to ensure your favorite frozen indulgence is never far from reach. For the local New York business owner, this is a crucial partner; for the average New Yorker, it is the unsung hero keeping the city cool.
## Location and Accessibility
Marina Ice Cream Corp is located at 1195 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11230, USA. The location itself is in a bustling commercial corridor of McDonald Avenue, which traverses several key Brooklyn neighborhoods including Midwood and Borough Park. This section of McDonald Avenue is characterized by a mix of retail, residential, and light industrial properties, a characteristic common for major DSD distribution centers, which require both central accessibility and space for logistics.
The surrounding neighborhood is highly integrated into the city’s network, offering good access for both small retail operators and the larger distributor trucks that frequent the facility. Reviews from customers (specifically those dealing with the logistics side) indicate the street is "moderately busy at times," a typical characteristic of a major Brooklyn thoroughfare. For business owners arriving to pick up orders, the location is generally considered functional, though like many logistical hubs in the city, managing vehicular traffic and parking requires care and planning, especially due to the busy nature of the street and structural elements like support beams mentioned by delivery drivers.
In terms of physical access, the facility is noted for having a Wheelchair accessible entrance. This adherence to accessibility standards is important, whether the space is being used primarily by retail customers or by business owners managing their supply chain.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Interesting place to unload. Employees are very respectful and try their best to get you in and out. If you’re not sure how to get in or out let them know I’ve had minimal issues with their directions.Just be careful with the support beams around the place. Best to come in very early to secure a parking spot even then you’ll run into issues backing up cause the road is moderately busy at times.
October 22 · Joel CrespoDrivers avoid coming to thus place amd its not because it's hard to get because for me brooklyn isn't my issue but to deal with rude people I do have an issue with. They don't honor appointments amd they dont have a loading dock and employees are extremely rude! If you wanna lose a day and take abuse then this place is for you.
May 26 · pinny spiraWrong hours!!! Waste of timeSays they close at 5pm arrived at 4:02
July 18 · Michael MedinaNot meant for a 53 ft trailer. Took to long to unload trailer and there is no loading dock. Everything has to be unloaded onto the sidewalk by their employees. constantly have to circle around the neighborhood for parking. Then there is a lot of traffic. Definitely not coming here again. If you folks ever deliver here take the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (I-278) to Exit 24 for (Rt 27 east) Prospect Expressway to first traffic light. Don't worry about the low bridges. Go straight across traffic light. Now Prospect Expressway becomes Ocean Parkway. Take Ocean Parkway to Avenue N. Take right on Avenue N to first traffic light and right onto McDonald Ave and go 4 to 5 blocks until you get to 1195 McDonald Ave. Marina Ice cream will be on your right side. Best time to get here is after 10pm at night and before 5am in the morning no later.
