When Meet Fresh first opened in this Bayside area, I was like, heck, yeah! Anyone who enjoys authentic Taiwanese style desserts will know Meet Fresh is probably the top dog. This location is perfect as it's right around the corner of Bell and Northern Boulevards. Bell Blvd is slowly becoming a mini Asian town as the years go by. Parking is not too bad as you can always park on the side streets nearby. The desserts here are delicious, and the two level seating is awesome. Will be back for many, many more desserts.

So, I wanted to like it, but right off the bat, I would give it a 2 out of 10. The only thing that was great was the aesthetic of the outside. The actual shaved ice, it tasted just , like straight ice also when i mention to the desk hey its lackluster with no cream in the ice they recommend i pay extra for the condense milk that its supposed to already include . There was nothing special. My girl was telling me that the one in Brooklyn was so, so much better. The shaved ice was flavorful and excellent from there. But compared to this one in Bayside, it was flavorless and disappointing. I'm not sure if I would ever be back to this one. Specifically also because if you look at the reviews, the reviews are very vicious towards the customers. So, I don't know. If you're a new business, you should be very welcoming to anybody. Even if they cause you trouble because of dogs or employees. Your food was lackluster and needed help. Hopefully, next time I come by, it's a lot better if I have ever come by.

The food here is really delicious, I enjoy it every time I come. However, today I noticed that even when the place gets busy, there’s only one girl working. She has to handle everything by herself and it looks really exhausting, but she still keep smiling, It might be that the restaurant is short-staffed,adding more staff could make things much easier for her and improve the overall experience for customers.

It wasn’t really busy when I went but it still took a while to get my mango shaved ice. You have the option to self-order at the kiosks provided, or order up front. I used the self-serve option, which was fairly simple to use. I put in my phone number assuming they would notify me when my order was ready, but that was not the case. So I’m unsure what the purpose was for requiring my number. The girl who prepared my shaved ice was very meticulous about how the dish looked, which I appreciated but at the end of the day, it’s going in my stomach so 🤷🏻‍♀️ the shaved ice itself was just mediocre. I have definitely had better. Parts of the mango fruit tasted fermented, some tasted sour, and a few were sweet. They poured mango puree, which was ok. Luckily, the condensed milk made it taste sweet. The scoop of vanilla ice cream didn’t make much of a difference. Would it be too much mango if it was mango ice cream? Just a thought. I wanted to try their egg waffles, but they were out. I don’t know if I would revisit. Maybe when egg waffles are back in business. For $20, the shaved ice is large, but it wasn’t worth $20 in my opinion.

Very traditional Taiwanese dessert shop. Authentic flavors. Grass jelly is an herb that reduces body heat so great for a hot summer treat! They have shaved ice desserts, tons of authentic toppings, and other snacks and drinks. You can change the amount of ice and sugar too! I love it!
