Metropolitan Grille Introduce
For New York locals seeking a unique dining experience that perfectly blends elevated comfort food, a vibrant social atmosphere, and the energy of live sports, the Metropolitan Grille is a standout venue. Located within the heart of the Flushing, Queens sports complex at Citi Field, this restaurant is much more than a typical ballpark concession; it functions as a dedicated, full-service restaurant and social hub, often referred to in the context of the Caesars Sportsbook at the Metropolitan Grille.
The Metropolitan Grille offers a refined, yet casual, setting on the Excelsior Level of the stadium, providing exceptional views of the playing field and the surrounding Manhattan skyline. This location transforms a standard meal into a memorable event, appealing equally to families, groups of friends, and solo diners looking for a comfortable place to eat and socialize. It’s a versatile spot popular for pre-game lunch, a full dinner experience, or a sophisticated break from the main crowds.
While the atmosphere is a significant part of the draw—one customer noted, "if you are looking for a unique experience then this place is a must... you are going to pay for this experience"—the food quality is designed to be "above decent with a wide range of choices." However, just like any large stadium operation, it must manage high expectations and high volume. One review pointed out a specific operational challenge with a staple item, noting the disappointment of receiving "soggy hand cut fries at $14 an order," despite prompt replacement. This highlights that while the venue aims high, the fast-paced nature of stadium dining can sometimes lead to inconsistent execution. Diners should remember they are primarily there for the view and the experience, which the venue consistently delivers on.
The Metropolitan Grille prides itself on fast service and an excellent selection of cocktails, providing a welcoming environment for adults with a full bar onsite featuring beer, wine, and hard liquor, alongside coffee and comfort food favorites. This makes it an ideal spot for meeting up before a game or catching the action on one of the many big screens.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1thankfully my order was replaced promptly when i asked but if you’re in the first inning of the game serving soggy hand cut fries at $14 an order than the operations here need to be fixed up because there’s absolutely no excuse to serve ballpark prices for something a school lunch wouldn’t even serve up. next time i get soggy fries im throwing them at the vendors.
July 11 · o oFirst I want to say if you are looking for a unique experience then this place is a must..but like anything else in the world you are going to pay for this experience....The day game menu differs from the night games....if you look at the reviews online you will find various ratings mostly due to the food ratings ....so about that I will say the food is above decent with a wide range of choices and again remember what you are there for THE VIEW AND THE EXPERIENCE what that being said enjoy Y.O.L.O...
April 09 · John PetitoI would not ever waste any time here. Ordered a salad and a “pizza”. Almost an hour later never received the pizza and left so we could make first pitch. Nobody ever really checked up. Hopefully they work out the kinks but not worth that time or money if you actually care about watching the game.
April 15 · Bryan SarandreaWent there twice in the past 2 weeks. Was very surprised to the upside. Great service. Meals were great. Offerings for everyone. Atmosphere was wonderful. Try it- You’ll like it!
September 16 · SCOTT RUTHIZERThe food here is horrible. Don’t waste your time or money. I don’t know why they changed the previous restaurant that was here. This place needs to be taken over by someone who knows how to run a real restaurant. The location is great with views of the field. The staff is friendly and professional. But the entire menu needs to be changed, what a waste of a good location. Plenty of great restaurants in NYC. The Mets need to find one of these people to run this place… Until then, I don’t recommend this place to anyone. (Except Braves or Phillies fans😊). Let’s Go Mets..
