★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I went in with a group of 8 for happy hour on my birthday. The staff was so sweet and accommodating and everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious! We ordered a bunch of different things and the happy hour deal is so good. The outdoor ambience was also lovely and overall, everyone had a good time.
September 12 · yang yang ouEverything was so delicious! We even forgot to take pictures of sushi. Absolutely recommend this place. They have Happy hour from 3:30 till 6:30 - great time to come try this place out!
June 03 · Alexandra NI stopped into Mikado in Park Slope for lunch and ordered a mix of specials. The lunch special two-roll combo came with soup or salad (I got both). The miso soup was classic and warming, while the salad had the usual carrot-ginger dressing bright and tangy. For rolls, I chose spicy tuna and spicy salmon. They came simple and straightforward, with a little crunch from masago and just enough heat from the spicy mayo.I also got the salmon ikura don slices of salmon sashimi layered over rice, topped with a generous spoonful of ikura. The roe was brined in shoyu, giving it a deep umami-salty pop that contrasted nicely with the fatty salmon. Flavor-wise, it hit the right notes, but I did notice the salmon trimming wasn’t handled carefully there was still a line of skin left on a few slices, which made the texture less smooth than it should’ve been.A little food note: salmon sashimi wasn’t part of traditional sushi until Norway introduced it to Japan in the 1980s, while ikura (soy-sauce brined salmon roe) has long been a staple, prized for its briny burst and its association with prosperity. Eating them together is a nice reflection of sushi’s evolution old tradition meeting new influences.Overall, Mikado makes for a solid neighborhood lunch stop: good prices, quick service, and satisfying flavors. With just a bit more polish in prep, it could be even better.
September 05 · Kimberly Lim LegaspiNice view, very good very nice very delicious! Fresh food in a nice place!Willing to come back next time! Two very nice workers are so sweet and lovely! Thanks for all hight quality serve!! ❤️
September 12 · xiao rong guanGot it—here’s a version that strikes a balance between classy, cool, and a bit edgy without being over the top:⸻Tried for the first time, and honestly, I was impressed. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the flavors were on point—clean, rich, and surprisingly different in the best way. I’ve had a lot of sushi before, but this really stood out. No gimmicks, just really well-made food that speaks for itself. Definitely coming back.
