★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Some of the freshest sushi you’ll have in Brooklyn. The cooked food is comfort in a bowl.Indoor seating consists of a small lunch counter so it’s best not to linger too long after your meal. Otherwise order takeout and enjoy your lunch by the pier. Staff and chef are welcoming and friendly despite the stress of the lunchtime crush.
July 17 · Maureen YuenA true hidden gem in Sunset Park. The restaurant is a little hard to find if you don't know where to look, but the food is well worth it. A great selection of Japanese entrees, sides and beverages expertly prepared. The sides change most days, so it is exciting to see what delicious food is on the menu each time you visit. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting and the staff are incredibly kind. Always a pleasure enjoying a meal here or taking it to go.
July 22 · Brian ChastainThis hole-in-the-wall is a little difficult to find. It sits in what use to be the USA's largest supply depot. Now its basically a work location for for artists & manufacturers. Transportation wise, if you connect to the B11 bus, it's last stop will put you just 1 block away. The restaurant itself is very small with just a counterspace that will accomodate 8-9 people. What's really cool is that you can see the can kitchen staff busy preparing your meal. I had the bbq eel bowl & the eel avocado cucumber role, while my daughter had the salmon teriyaki bento box & spicy tuna role. They were all delicious & fresh tasting. There service was phenomenal & friendly. They also have some really tasty sauces. We had the ginger & spicy mayo. All in all it was worth the trip, just wish the place was bigger.
September 23 · Juan MarcanoThis place is such a hidden gem.I tried their omakase sushi combo today and it was excellent.• The uni was fresh and creamy, with a natural sweetness.• The albacore tuna was tender and lightly seared with yuzu salt — a thoughtful touch.• The chutoro was rich and buttery, definitely the highlight of the set.• Yellowtail and sea bream were very fresh, each with a clean, distinct flavor.• The scallop was soft and slightly sweet, with a pleasant creamy finish.• The ikura was perfectly seasoned — no extra soy sauce needed.• The BBQ eel had just the right amount of sauce and a gentle smoky aroma. This meal really reminded me of what good sushi should taste like — fresh, balanced, and full of care.Looking forward to coming back and trying the future omakase.
September 12 · Flandre 529The edamame dip at the Park Slope Farmers Market(Sunday)was absolutely delicious! I ended up buying the Edamame Croquette, too. Can’t wait to dine in at their restaurant soon!
