NARO Introduce
In the heart of Manhattan, where culinary experiences are as diverse as the city itself, NARO at Rockefeller Center stands out as a beacon of refined and contemporary Korean cuisine. From the creative minds of Chef Junghyun "JP" Park and CEO Ellia Park, the acclaimed team behind the beloved Atoboy and Michelin-starred Atomix, NARO offers a fresh perspective on traditional Korean flavors. Named after South Korea's first successful rocket, the restaurant aims to elevate and reimagine classic dishes, drawing on centuries of culinary history while applying a modern, sophisticated sensibility. This is not just a meal; it is an extraordinary dining journey that showcases the beauty and depth of "Hansik," or traditional Korean food.
NARO distinguishes itself through its dedication to an upscale, elegant, and romantic atmosphere. The stunning interior design, with its thoughtful Korean motifs and cozy seating, creates a beautiful setting for a special evening. Diners are greeted by a warm and welcoming vibe, a perfect contrast to the bustling energy of Midtown outside. The restaurant is particularly popular for dinner, and its sophisticated environment makes it an ideal choice for a romantic date night or a memorable celebration with a group. The overall ambiance feels both exclusive and inviting, making every guest feel like a VIP.
The food at NARO is nothing short of extraordinary. The menu, which includes both a carefully curated à la carte selection and an ever-evolving tasting menu, is a testament to the chef's vision. Dishes are meticulously prepared and beautifully presented, with each one telling a story of Korean tradition and history. Guests frequently rave about the delicious and unique flavors, from the savory wagyu to the delicate mushroom dishes. The service is consistently praised as exceptional; the staff is not only professional and attentive but also genuinely kind and knowledgeable. They take the time to explain each dish, providing context and enhancing the overall experience. This level of service transforms a simple dinner into a truly unforgettable event that patrons are eager to return to.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We were originally planning to eat somewhere else but changed plans last minute and ended up at Naro. We didn’t have a reservation, but the host was incredibly kind and managed to seat us anyway, which already made the experience feel special. The food was excellent. Every dish was brought out with a clear explanation of what it was, and the staff was so patient and helpful, even when we had a bunch of questions. They made us feel completely at ease, and it honestly made the whole experience more enjoyable. One of my favorite parts was the dessert. The jasmine dessert was incredible and felt really unique. I also tried the Bokbunja and it was unlike anything I’ve had before, it’s definitely one of my new go-to dessert cravings.Service was top notch, the food was delicious, and the overall vibe felt warm and welcoming. I’d absolutely come back to try more dishes, and next time I’m definitely doing the tasting menu.
August 05 · Varun SrikanthThis restaurant is truly outstanding. The food is absolutely extraordinary—every dish is full of flavor and prepared to perfection. The place itself is stunning, with a beautiful atmosphere that makes the whole experience even more special. On top of that, the service is exceptional; the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for. Without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.
September 12 · Luis Felipe Canto Z.The food was okay, but the overall experience fell short of fine dining. The interior felt more casual and didn’t match the upscale pricing. Service was unprofessional — my bill was overcharged, and I had to point it out myself to get it corrected. On top of that, no one said goodbye or even thanked me for coming when I left. Naro feels more like a casual dining spot than a fine dining restaurant in terms of food quality, service, and ambiance. Disappointing for the price.
July 22 · T KCame here during restaurant week for lunch. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was prob the best I’ve experienced recently in the city - professional, warm, proper and not pushy. I think every restaurant should be like this. The desserts were the best of the year! Impressive!
August 30 · Sheila XiaNaro lives up to the high standard you can expect from any of Chef JP’s restaurants. I had the tasting menu, and every dish was delicious, beautiful, and creative. The standouts for me were the crab and jellyfish dish (creamy and packed with umami) and the tenderloin with cauliflower purée. The portions were generous — I came in really hungry and left completely full. Service was excellent as well. I highly recommend Naro, especially if you’re a fan of Korean fine dining!
