★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It was a great dining experience. The food was delicious. We had appetizers and two family-style combos that were more than enough for a big group of eight. The atmosphere was nice, but our server seemed a little inexperienced.
September 05 · Dumitrita Paladi ContesWith numerous other locations and named of sound chicks make, this chain serves rotisserie chicken and other Peruvian dishes. The meal was very carb heavy, and a bit muted flavors other than desserts. Was not a big fan of the sausage and fries, the chicken was a bit dry but tasty. This location is beautifully decorated and architecturally designed with the double height dining room, though our large party remained on the ground floor near the entrance.
June 24 · Jia SunGreat place to spend some time over a meal with friends. I only wish the menu wasn’t so safe; Peru has more interesting food than this! Staff was super kind with an excited child, very helpful and nice. I’ll be back, though if they had Cuy, I’d be back faster!
July 30 · Daniel GenisLet me tell you something, there is not a better Peruvian Restaurant in New York than Pio Pio, They’ve got multiple locations, but my favorite is the one with the City Vibes. We ordered different options you’ll see it all in my pics, food is so good and the homemade green and garlic sauce are fire 🔥I always order the red wine sangria, we got the pitcher (3 glasses each). I believe the Chaufa rice and the small Jalea are perfect for two people and I still ended up with a bunch of leftovers to take home. Portions are super generous! The service? Super nice. They were on top of everything, and the food came out fast and fresh. Thanks for watch my review and please don’t forget to follow my page for more!
June 29 · Michelle MarquezReally hyped, and with a lot of reviews, the expectations were high. What was good? When for starters the chicken was indeed quite good. But in the context of other Peruvian chicken I’ve had in the past, it was not extraordinary. Yes the skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. The arroz chaufa hit all the savory notes that I was looking for too. The sangria didn’t disappoint either. What was bad?Overall, not too much other than the sporadic and slightly chaotic service. Not necessarily any marks against Pio Pio for this, I think it was just a busy night. The main issue I had was the frozen chicken used in the arroz chaufa. In a restaurant that is known for its chicken, you wouldn’t think they would cheap out on it at any point. But, this was simply not the case. It was dry, chewy, and clearly not as fresh as their rotisserie chicken. It didn’t scare me off entirely from going back, but I was disappointed to say the least. Most people have extremely low bars for chicken as a meat they would spend money on at a restaurant. Don’t give people a reason to complain I just don’t get it. Looking back on it, I would have said something or sent the dish back, not because I’m an asshole, but because I know they can do better.
