PIZZA CAFE Introduce
When the craving for a classic New York slice strikes, finding a convenient and welcoming spot in the bustling heart of Midtown Manhattan is key. Located on a busy stretch of 8th Avenue, PIZZA CAFE offers just that. Positioned perfectly for those walking between Times Square and Penn Station, it’s a quick-stop destination that caters to a fast-paced urban rhythm. As one visitor noted, the "presentation makes you go in," with a display of various pizzas that instantly catches the eye and promises a satisfying, no-fuss meal. The atmosphere is casual and straightforward, providing a laid-back setting for a quick bite or a relaxed, solo dining experience.
PIZZA CAFE is a quintessential New York pizza shop, with a focus on delivering a fast, efficient service to get you back on your way. The availability of both takeout and dine-in options, coupled with a spacious interior for a place in this part of town, makes it a great choice for families with children or anyone who needs a moment to sit down and recharge. While experiences can vary, the overall offering provides a reliable option for those seeking classic comfort food in a prime location. It's a place where you can find a variety of pizzas, along with other Italian staples like strombolis and salads, all designed to satisfy a hungry crowd.
The location of PIZZA CAFE is one of its most significant assets, situating it at 765 8th Ave, New York, NY 10036. This prime spot puts it in a key corridor between Times Square and Penn Station, making it a highly accessible choice for tourists, commuters, and locals alike. For those walking in the area, the restaurant is easily identifiable by the large display of pizzas visible from the sidewalk, which, as one reviewer noted, serves as a compelling invitation to come inside.
The establishment is also praised for its interior space, offering "Good space inside" and available tables for dining, which is a valuable feature in a neighborhood where many quick-service eateries have little to no seating. The restaurant also provides a wheelchair accessible entrance, ensuring that all customers can comfortably access the premises. While some may find it a slightly long walk, its location is very convenient for those navigating the central part of the city.
This pizza restaurant is built around the concept of providing a quick, easy, and satisfying experience through a variety of simple service options.
Takeout and Dine-in: The primary services offered are takeout and dine-in. This flexibility allows customers to either grab a slice and continue their journey or to take a break from the city's commotion and enjoy their meal in the comfort of the cafe. The availability of seating is a key reason many customers choose this spot, especially with children in tow.
Fast Service and Quick Bites: PIZZA CAFE is highlighted for its "fast service," a crucial feature for anyone in a hurry. The pizza is displayed and then reheated to order, a quick process that ensures you get your food without a long wait. This focus on speed and efficiency makes it a perfect place for a "quick bite" and a satisfying source of "comfort food."
All-Day Dining: The restaurant caters to those looking for a meal at any time of day, being popular for both Lunch and Dinner. It also offers Dessert options like plain, strawberry, red velvet, and Oreo cookie cheesecakes, providing a sweet end to the meal.
Diverse Menu: While the provided menu is brief, customer reviews clarify that the selection is more extensive, including not only pizzas but also "strombolis, salads etc." The menu caters especially to meat lovers, with a large variety of options for those who prefer meat-based toppings.
The most notable features of PIZZA CAFE are those that make it a practical and functional choice in a highly competitive area.
Convenient Location and Seating: A major highlight is its strategic location and the valuable presence of indoor tables. In a neighborhood where many quick-service places are strictly stand-up, the availability of seating, as noted in a review, is a significant draw. It provides a much-needed space to relax and eat in a "casual" atmosphere.
Good-Tasting Food: Despite some mixed reviews on service and freshness, a customer explicitly stated that the "Pizza 🍕 taste was good." This is the most important factor for any restaurant. While the pizzas are heated from a display, their flavor is what keeps people satisfied and coming back. The cafe also offers a variety of specialty pizzas for those looking for something beyond the norm, such as the Chicken and Bacon Ranch Pizza.
Kid-Friendly and Casual: The establishment is noted as being "Good for kids," making it an excellent option for families traveling or visiting the area. The casual atmosphere means there's no pressure for a formal dining experience, which is perfect for a low-key meal with children.
Accessibility: The presence of a wheelchair accessible entrance is a crucial feature that makes the restaurant welcoming to everyone, ensuring that all customers can easily enter and enjoy their food.
Payment Convenience: In a modern city, easy payment is a must. The cafe accepts credit cards, providing a simple and hassle-free transaction for both locals and tourists.

When visiting PIZZA CAFE, the best choice is to embrace the experience for what it is: a quick, satisfying, and convenient meal in a great location. While the service may be "very average" and the pricing "slightly expensive" for some, as noted in a review, the value comes from the speed and the central location. For those who love meat, the cafe has a "lot of options." The Chicken and Bacon Ranch Pizza or the Tropical Hawaiian Pizza are great choices for a specialty slice that delivers on flavor.
For those with a sweet tooth, the cheesecakes are a worthy choice for dessert. The Strawberry Cheese Cake or Oreo Cookie Cheese Cake offers a simple yet satisfying end to your meal. It is important to note that a customer mentioned they "didn't have much of vegetarian options," so meat lovers may find a better selection than vegetarians. Overall, the best choice is to stop by for a slice for a taste of authentic New York pizza, especially when you are in a rush and need a good, quick meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is my first review ever. This is the worst pizza place I’ve been to in my life. It looks like they freeze the pizza and sell it the following days. As you can also see in the picture, there’s no one in the restaurant even though it’s located in a busy area.
August 28 · Ismail YaakoubWent to Times Square and was walking back to Penn station and kids were craving for NY style pizzas ..🍕 there weee so many pizza shops in 8th Avenue and we picked this one , looking at the tables inside to sit and eat . Good space inside : they display so many pizzas 🍕 and you can see them from outside . The presentation makes you go in ! Service was very average .. the lady looked very tired and wasn’t giving us the answers .. they masked out the price of pizzas in the menu board , and when we asked the price , they were kinda annoyed . Was slightly expensive but ok for the location !Pizza 🍕 taste was good. Of course they heated up the pizza , which were already in display .. not sure how fresh those were but tasted good . They also have strombolis , salads etc . Not much of vegetarian options . I asked for eggplant but they didn’t have it . They had a lot of options for meat lovers . Overall an average experience but nicely located ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
July 02 · Raj SPizza was fine. Cashier was not. She was in a huge hurry and pressured me to pay cash. Then just kept the change when I did pay.Bathroom could use some cleaning.Don’t make the hunger trap. Go to any of the other pizza places.
July 12 · Judd Templin$24 for three slices and two cokes.Horrible pizza. No flavor at all. Didn’t even want to finish my slice.Employees are not appreciative or happy that you are there. Not sure how we fell into the trap of coming into this place. Save your money and grief and go somewhere else. 7-Eleven has better pizza than this place.
June 09 · Mat AllredPizza was okay, but certainly not any better than the dozens of places in the area selling it for half this price or less. We had reached a moment of exhaustion and just needed a warm place to refuel and this fit the bill. Which is honestly probably why the pizza is more expensive, you're paying for the dining room and bathroom. There's additional seating upstairs. And there's also a salad bar which looked pretty good. Not a huge selection of drinks though. We sat in the window bar and watched the people in line for the sandwich place next door. It was out the door and down the street. I don't know what was so special about those sandwiches (looked like crusty bread, ham - maybe a panini?) but from our vantage point I was perfectly happy not standing in a line and sitting in a restaurant to eat my satisfying-enough pizza.
