★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Delicious chicken and sides with recipes straight from Guatemala. You can get fried or grilled chicken. Your sides could be rice, beans, rolls, tortilla, etc. Food was quick and easy to dine with plenty of room inside the restaurant. The food will definitely get you craving for more and more.
May 26 · John LI was in the Penn Station area today and had a craving for fried chicken. Initially, I was thinking about going to a certain Filipino fried chicken chain, but after checking the ratings, Pollo Camino came out on top. They’ve recently opened a new branch near Penn Station, but I ended up visiting their 8th Ave location instead — a small, single-storefront shop with a simple interior.I ordered the fried chicken set for $9.99, which came with two pieces of chicken, a piece of bread, one side, and a drink for an extra $1.• Drink: I went with their Horchata, made with peanuts and vanilla ,milk, without the cinnamon and rice I’m used to. It had a nice aroma, refreshing, and a bit different — in a good way.• Side: I chose yuca fries, served in large sticks. The inside was dense than potato, with a lightly crisp exterior. Personally, I wasn’t a fan — I’d say skip this and go for another side.• Fried Chicken: Lightly battered with a noticeable blend of spices and herbs. The meat was tender, while the skin wasn’t the super-crispy kind you’d get from those well-known Louisiana or Kentucky-style chains. Flavor was solid, but here’s an important tip — just like with many fried chicken places, don’t let it sit too long. Once it cools, the saltiness becomes much more pronounced.Service gets a full 5 stars in the fast-food category — no self-service pick-up here, they bring your food right to the table.Overall, Pollo Camino is worth trying if you’re around Penn Station. The price is fair, the chicken is flavorful, but choose your side wisely and eat it while it’s hot. Next time I’ll try a competitor for comparison, but for now, my top spot still belongs to Louisiana chain.
August 09 · Join SuThe food was so flavorful and delicious. The customer service was A1. Maria the manager made me feel that I was a very valued guest. I am extremely happy with my experience here. This place proves fast food does not have to come with poor quality.
July 25 · winslow pakemanThis Pollo Campero is always on point. Chicken sandwich is nice and juicy with a little bit of kick from the black pepper of that spicy sauce. The Salads topped with their crispy chicken filet makes for a great light meal. The fries so crispy. And Mac & cheese flavorful and cheesy

To add insult the thigh (see photo) was a joke !! as small as a cornish hen thigh. Two lines on the fingers about 2 inches! This is second time at this branch (8th/39th st.) the swap of pieces ordered were recieved!
