PopUp Bagels Introduce
For New Yorkers, the bagel is more than just a breakfast food—it’s an institution, a staple of our daily lives. In a city with countless options, finding a bagel shop that stands out can be a challenge. Enter PopUp Bagels, a name that’s creating a buzz on the Upper East Side with a unique and fresh approach to this beloved classic. Located on 3rd Avenue, this bagel shop has carved out a niche by offering a different kind of bagel experience, one that focuses on warmth, softness, and the pure, unadulterated flavor of a perfectly baked bagel.
Unlike traditional bagel shops where bagels are often toasted, PopUp Bagels serves them fresh out of the oven, highlighting their airy and incredibly soft texture. This distinct feature is what makes their product so memorable. The shop is designed for a quick and easy visit, perfect for the fast-paced New York lifestyle. Whether you’re grabbing a dozen for your family’s weekend breakfast or a few for a solo treat on your way to work, the focus is on quality and efficiency. The simple, straightforward menu allows you to get exactly what you want without any fuss, making the entire experience seamless.
While some might argue that a bagel must be toasted, PopUp Bagels challenges this notion, inviting customers to enjoy the bagel in its most pristine state. This has generated a mix of opinions, but those who appreciate the fresh-out-of-the-oven approach are deeply loyal. The subtle richness and chewy texture are said to be perfectly balanced, offering a comforting and delicious treat. The shop also offers a variety of spreads, including unique options like a special grape jelly that has received high praise from customers for its homemade quality. This combination of a warm bagel with an amazing spread is a simple pleasure that defines the PopUp Bagels experience.

### What is worth choosing
When you visit PopUp Bagels, the main draw is the experience of eating a bagel fresh from the oven. The bagels are sold in a minimum of three, and they come with your choice of one cream cheese. The fresh-out-of-the-oven warmth, softness, and airiness are the primary reasons to choose this place. It’s a completely different sensation than a toasted bagel, closer to eating a warm, soft piece of artisan bread with cream cheese. This unique texture is what loyal customers rave about, and it's a departure from the typical New York bagel scene that many find refreshing.
While some might find it overhyped or prefer the traditional toasted bagel, those who appreciate the subtle, rich flavor of a warm, un-toasted bagel will not be disappointed. The cream cheese selection is limited but of good quality, and the aforementioned grape jelly is a highlight. The simple pleasure of a warm, flavorful bagel with a unique spread is a comforting and delicious experience that is hard to beat. If you are looking for a break from the norm and want to try a truly unique bagel, PopUp Bagels is an excellent choice. It offers a fresh perspective on a New York City classic, making it a destination worth visiting for those who appreciate innovative takes on traditional foods. Its quick service and convenient location make it an easy choice for a quick, satisfying breakfast on a busy morning.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I recently had the chance to visit pop-up bagel and it did not disappoint. The bagels were fresh out of the oven—warm, airy, and incredibly soft. The flavor was spot-on, with a perfect balance of chewy texture and subtle richness. What really took the experience to the next level, though, was the special grape jelly they served alongside. It had a unique, almost homemade quality to it that paired beautifully with the bagels. It’s a simple pleasure, but it’s hard to beat a warm, flavorful bagel with an amazing spread. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a comforting, delicious treat!
March 07 · Michelle CaseIt’s definitely over hyped bagel store they do have multiple locations across the city. I have been to the one which is close to the Central Park. They did have a small line but it moved quick not much of a seating area. You have to choose a minimum of 3 bagels which is $13+tax you can choose one cream cheese as a selection. Was it worth the money and effort I am not sure, Newyork has many options this shouldn’t be the top of the list in my opinion. It’s not toasted bagel it’s just hot fresh out of the oven more like eating a warm bread with cream cheese.
March 08 · Akhila YennamA true New York experience! If you visit the pop-up and they’re out of warm bagels, trust me — wait for the next batch. There’s nothing like dipping a freshly baked bagel into cream cheese while it’s still hot. The texture, the aroma, the crunch… absolutely worth it. My personal favorite is the everything bagel
September 10 · Nurdan KilincogluBagels were straight out from the oven. This was the first time I had hot bagels. Taste and texture were great.
September 14 · Tamás KöhlerTheir poppyseed and everything bagels are exceptionally tasty. Also in love with the current schmear on rotation: the Calabrian chili butter…divine!!! (And it’s not too spicy. It’s got just enough kick to make having the bagel fun.)
