★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Walked by the first time and didn’t know what this was, then serendipitously came across a pop up in the same location by chef Russell Markus. Went back and had the most amazing chicken kebab with fresh herbs and greens from Oko farms. Definitely recommend keeping an eye on their instagram for other pop ups. Planning to go back in the winter for the soup. Also try the coco boys ice cream while you’re there, you won’t regret it!
September 02 · Abhiram Sunkavallifabulous and much needed addition to dumbo!tiny little nook on front street offers a growing assortment of great sweet and savory items (many gluten free too) — in addition to homemade soup and flavorful coffee.baked goods from sixteen mill are fine quality, gluten free and insanely delicious.alfajore from a small production biz in williamsburg are perfect — not over the top sweet, and enrobed in either dark or white chocolate.soup menu is diverse and unique, everyone house made by owner and chef russell. red lentil is smooth and filling, chicken matzo is better than your mothers. mushroom congee is unique and tasty.you’ll want to get there early, they often sell out.oh yea — great coffee too. legit americano has me coming back for my midday fix.hope they continue to work the magic and expand morning hours as they settle in — summer is around the corner and dog walks in BB park need ☕️
March 30 · Erika Perzicame for the soup. ate it on the subway. what's fun is it doubles as a weapon, if you need to deter a tweaker, this is HOT SOUP! on a cold, bone chilling day, a nice bowl of HOT SOUP hits different you know?really loved the colors, the guy who poured me my soup was a really friendly guy.10/10 would recommend & would reconsider renaming to "red coffee stand & subway soup!" in the winter time.
January 16 · Nicholas DiodatoI saw they use Rocky’s matcha so I was so excited to try except for it was such a let down. They don’t use enough matcha it tasted like maybe barely 1tsp for my cup so it was not drinkable. The flat white was good.
June 10 · Linda LeThis is the best hidden, perfectly curated hole-in-the-wall coffee stand in Dumbo. The playlist sets the vibe, the lentil soup is delicious, coffee is great and the space feels intentional and full of love, simple, easy, and unapologetically red. New York needs more places like this.
