When you visit Red Ribbon Bakeshop, the variety of offerings can be a bit overwhelming, but a few items stand out as must-tries. The Halo-Halo is an exceptional choice, especially on a hot summer day. This layered Filipino dessert is a refreshing mix of crushed ice, milk, various sweet beans, jellies, and topped with flan and ube ice cream. It's a perfect blend of flavors and textures that is both unique and incredibly satisfying.
For those who love savory foods, the empanadas are a highly recommended option. With fillings like pork, chicken, and beef, they offer a savory and slightly sweet flavor profile that is both comforting and delicious. A customer review highlighted their love for the empanadas, describing them as "very yummy" and "savory and slightly sweet." Another popular meal item is the Pancit Palabok, a noodle dish with a rich shrimp sauce topped with various garnishes. It's a full meal that is both flavorful and filling, and highly recommended by a customer who found it to have a perfect savory taste with a nice crisp.
Of course, you can't visit Red Ribbon without trying their famous cakes and pastries. The Ube Overload Cake, Mango Supreme Cake, and Yema Caramel Cake are all iconic for a reason. For smaller treats, the moist and fluffy mamon cakes and the cheesy ensaymada are perfect for a quick bite or to share with friends. Their rich and heavy nature, as one reviewer noted, means a little goes a long way, but the indulgence is well worth it. Overall, Red Ribbon Bakeshop is worth choosing for its authentic, high-quality, and diverse menu that brings a special taste of the Philippines to Brooklyn.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love the variety of desserts they have!I got the halo halo and a bunch of empanadas, along with palobok.Love the halo halo, super refreshing in the hot nyc summer. It had flan, ube and a bunch of green jelly! The empanada were very yummy, I got pork, chicken, and beef. All were savory and slightly sweet. The palobok was savory and had what seemed to be garlic or onion crisps in it. Highly recommended to grab it since it's so good. The mamouns and cake were great too, very rich but also very heavy so definitely don't eat too many for your healths sake!
June 23 · Kevin LiuVery friendly customer service. And halo halo was exceptional. But the mocha mamon that we bought has mold in it. This is before the expiration date on the packaging. Will need to check the inside better before buying next time.
September 30 · Al A.Love having a Red Ribbon in Brooklyn now! Service was prompt and efficient. Food was consistent with the usual Red Ribbon tastes. So happy with my cake purchase!
February 05 · Linda TamThe cake was really delicious and moist. My mom is a very tough cake critic and said she couldn't stop eating her mocha chocolate slice. The mango supreme cake was sooo good and creamy. It's about $5 per slice. It's also nice to have a Filipino establishment in the neighborhood. I'll definitely be back to try more!
January 28 · Shalanna WilhelmsenI live in the area, I decided I wanted cake. I was politely welcomed. Introduced to the products and menu. I had ordered chicken Empanadas and a few beef empanadas, also order a slice of rocky road cake. Got home and was very pleased and satisfied. My oldest is very picky, but he loved the chicken empanada. My husband loved the combination of sweet and seasoned the empanadas were. The cake was sooo moist and fluffy, not too sweet, literally perfection for my taste buds. I will definitely be going again.
