## What is Worth Choosing Reef Restaurant & Bar
For residents of Queens, and particularly the Forest Hills area, Reef Restaurant & Bar represents a compelling combination of upscale quality and neighborhood convenience that is hard to find. What makes it unequivocally worth choosing is the demonstrable dedication to the quality of its core offerings—the seafood, which is consistently described as fresh, perfectly cooked, and flavorful. The enthusiastic customer testimonials, praising the Grilled octopus as "to kill for" and the plump, juicy seafood in the risotto, offer concrete evidence of this commitment.
Beyond the raw ingredients, the skillful execution of dishes like the Seafood Pasta ($34.00) and the richness of the New England Clam Chowder ($14.00) make it a destination for true seafood lovers. However, Reef's ability to be a "dual threat" is its strongest asset. It successfully operates as a fantastic seafood house *and* a vibrant, well-stocked bar. This means you can visit for a full, white-tablecloth-worthy dinner, or simply stop by for some great Happy hour drinks and appetizers like the Crab And Artichoke Dip ($20.00) and Lobster Mac And Cheese ($21.00) at the bar.
The ambiance—described as a mix of casual, cozy, romantic, and upscale—makes it highly versatile. It’s a place where you can celebrate an anniversary, enjoy a quiet solo dinner, or host a lively group. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Food is everything! Grilled octopus was to kill for! Oysters, are pretty much oysters, though I did enjoy the cocktail sauce w/horseradish mix and I’m not a horseradish kinda guy. Also the fried calamari, 👍🏿👍🏿. But the main course, the seafood risotto, Chef’s kiss!!! Amazing. You could taste the seafood broth coming through, the shrimp and scallops were plump, juicy and perfectly cooked. I hen that fresh Parmesan hits your palate, HEAVEN. The misses enjoyed her lobster ravioli as well, and the drinks were an awesome, smooth glide and accomplice to a fantastic meal. Anyone who didn’t enjoy their experience here at Reef should try again.
July 19 · Roger “Wyze” Smith5 Star recommendations 🌟I love Pasta With Crab-Meat on white wine and garlic sauce. And Dry Aged Bone In Rib Eye (24 Oz) was perfect. Service was amazing. Cozy and nice place.
March 23 · ThisSummer WHWe went to this restaurant at the recommendation of a family member. The food and atmosphere were decent. First of all, the waiter dropped one menu on the floor, picked it up and put it on the table. Not too sanitary. They were attentive filling the water glasses. When we were done, we had to go to the bar to ask for our check.
August 23 · Bruce WI would give the food 5 stars but they said they were out of Calamari and Diet Coke. Weird but everything else was awesome! Our waitress was great! The scallops were to die for. The salmon was amazing and the Spinach Lasagna was yummy too. The drinks were good. I ordered something called "The Papa Smurf." So tasty, but I had to request that they leave out the abundance of mint leaves.
June 15 · Alice RodrigoComfortable atmosphere. Now, restaurant had at least 6 to 7 tables with diners but one waiter?Cheers for the waiter, he ran up and down the stairs to bring meals from.the kitchen. We waited almost one hour for entrees and the food was OK. Not sure, if I will try again.
