Rocatone Seafood Restaurant Introduce
Rocatone Seafood Restaurant, nestled in the vibrant Bronx borough of New York City, stands as a popular destination for those seeking authentic, flavorful Caribbean and Jamaican cuisine. While the name highlights seafood, Rocatone is widely known and loved by locals for its diverse menu, which includes some of the most classic and satisfying non-seafood dishes from the islands. Operating as a Jamaican, Fast Food, and Seafood restaurant, it successfully blends traditional island cooking with the fast-paced needs of New Yorkers, offering a perfect spot for a comforting meal any time of day. Since its establishment in 2002, the restaurant has built a reputation for its sincere dedication to delivering high-quality, authentic food.
The atmosphere at Rocatone Seafood Restaurant is described as both casual and trendy, attracting a diverse crowd, including college students and tourists looking for genuine Caribbean flavors. The restaurant is popular for all major mealtimes, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as solo dining for those on the go. Customers frequently praise the large portion sizes, which are a hallmark of the Rocatone experience, ensuring great value for their money.
However, as with many highly popular local spots, visitors should be prepared for what is sometimes described as “usually a wait,” particularly during peak hours, due to its popularity. Customer feedback occasionally points to inconsistencies in service and food presentation, which is a key factor to keep in mind, especially for those prioritizing a quick, seamless experience. Despite this, the consistent quality of favorite dishes like Fried Chicken and Curry Goat keeps the community coming back.
The diverse menu extends far beyond just seafood and showcases the breadth of Jamaican and Caribbean cooking. Diners can find classic comfort foods alongside healthy, vegan, and vegetarian options. Some of the signature offerings that draw the biggest crowds are the Jerk Chicken and Oxtail, which are considered staples in the Bronx’s Caribbean food scene. Rocatone is truly a local gem that provides a taste of the islands right here in New York.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The food was really good. I got a small stewed chicken and small curry goat. While the stew chicken was amazing, I never got to taste the curry goat because unfortunately they forgot to put it in the bag. They also don't open on Mondays, and I ordered on Sunday so hopefully they remember and give me the order on Tuesday. Besides that, would definitely be 5 stars for me!
July 13 · Lydia Boateng😡😡😡😡Food is good I usually don’t have problems . I order from here all the time . I always get chicken breast and rice and peas via door dash . Well today Ms Charmaine shared out my plate and gave me this ???? My receipt obviously says chicken breast and I paid extra online ??? There go a next good quality restaurant I will not be eating from . Waste of my time & hard earned money . I bet you wouldn’t have shared the plate like this if I was there in person. So if you wanna eat from here don’t order Thursday around 4 pm . And make sure you get your server name .
May 15 · Jee JeeYeah this place has fell off, rice was hard and the large portions of shrimp is not enough also no sauce dry shrimp. I ordered through door dash never again will I order here and it’s overpriced
April 19 · Crystal “Shareabeads” O'NealNo matter how small or big the order is of jerk chicken they are only giving you one small container of jerk sauce. Also no real difference between a small and medium or jerk chicken. If you love rice get the medium they will give you PLENTY and just a quarter piece of chicken chopped up to give the illusion you are getting more. This place fell off like ya high school crush. Oh don’t bother on getting a small soup it’s just gonna be broth and nuff potato. Maybe 3 pieces of meat. It’s a shame cause they are nice people while ordering the food. Good looking store too.THAT IS ONE QUARTER PIECE OF CHICKEN CHOPPED UP GROW UP
October 21 · Hurtis SourfellaRocatone Restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is consistently delicious and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Every dish I’ve tried has been full of flavor, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. You can truly taste the love in the cooking. What makes the experience even better is the staff. They’re friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family, and that warm atmosphere makes all the difference.Whether you're dining in or picking up, Rocatone never disappoints. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service in a cozy, inviting setting.
