★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Sal, Kris & Charlie’s Deli “The True Sandwich King”I was on the hunt for a great deli and stumbled into Sal, Kris & Charlie’s and let me just say, this place lives up to the hype. If your hungry , It’s everything you want in a classic New York deli and more. The sandwiches are massive seriously, one could feed two hungry guys or four lighter eaters easily. So many combos to choose from, but I went with the “Italian Combo” and their signature “Da Bomb” sandwich. Both were packed with flavor, piled high with cold cuts, and built perfectly from top to bottom. The bread was spot on crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and held everything together like a champ. I added sweet and hot peppers, plus a little vinegar , salt, and pepper, and it all came together to make a perfectly balanced, flavor packed sandwich. The service was fast and efficient, even with a line, and the vibe was exactly what you’d want from an old-school Queens deli. This place isn’t just good it’s the Sandwich King, no question. If you’re in the area and even slightly hungry, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t leave disappointed.
July 24 · NVFinally made it yesterday. I ordered the Italian combo. I got there before the lunch rush so no wait, no line. The counter guys are fast and friendly. Sandwiches are THAT big. They will ask you how many pieces you want, I’d suggest four (4). I was satisfied after eating the first section but went for two.Cash Only.
September 10 · Edward ChungAmazing NY Deli. Literally amazing. First time for me in an NY Deli, and they set the bar extremely high. Amazing food, drink selection and chip selection. I had The Bomb and it was exactly that. An amazing, piled high with meat, sandwich. Cash only, but this place is worth every penny. A must try experience, I cant wait to be back and try it again.
July 08 · GrounDDwellers BJJCSLLet's talk about Sal, Kris & Charlie's. Forget your sad desk lunch, your anemic excuses for sandwiches. We're talking about the BOMB. Not a suggestion, mind you, but a goddamn declaration. This isn't some dainty, finger-food affair. This is a glorious, unapologetic monument of cured meats, a veritable United Nations of deliciousness piled high, barely contained by a roll that's seen some things. Iceberg, yeah, but it's the right kind of crunch. Tomato, onion, the sting of mustard – it’s a symphony of simple perfection. And the turkey? Don't scoff. This ain't your grandma's bland bird. This is honest-to-goodness, flavorful turkey, treated with respect. Delivered right to the doorstep, no less. This isn't just a sandwich; it's an experience. A beautiful, messy, utterly satisfying experience. Five stars? They deserve a goddamn constellation.
May 03 · David PollardThe ultimate NY hero by the Sandwich King...We had an all dressed "bomb", a pastrami hero and a pound of potato salad. They pile on the fresh ingredients so high at $19 and $16 .2 heros were enough to feed 5 of us and we were stuffed. The guys were friendly and helpful and the other customers said we wouldn't be disappointed and boy were they right... we would not hesitate to take the 30 min trip to grab a kick ass hero from the Sandwich King.Make sure to bring cash as they don't accept any other form of payment. An absolute gem...
