For anyone in the New York area seeking an authentic and high-quality Jamaican meal, Scotch Bonnet is unequivocally worth choosing, especially for two main reasons: the standout quality of its food and its convenient location. When reviewing the feedback from real customers, the sentiment is overwhelmingly focused on the incredible flavor profiles and the generous sizing of the meals. The fried chicken, the jerk chicken, and especially the Escovitch fish, all receive top marks for their authentic taste. The fact that a customer said the Escovitch fish "Gave my grandma a run for her money" is the highest form of praise in a culture where home-cooked Caribbean meals set the standard.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Food was amazing! Got multiple orders of food. One - fried chicken, Mac and cheese and rice with oxtail gravy. Another - jerk chicken, cabbage and Mac and cheese. And last - Escovitch/ fried snapper with rice and peas and Mac and cheese. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. Extremely flavorful and portions were also great as well. Idk why there are so many bad reviews but I will definitely be returning and recommend to give this place a try!
April 14 · Gisselle GuerreroThe red snapper escovitch was one of the best I ever had. Gave my grandma a run for her money (sorry grandma). The staff was super friendly and was willing to make dishes even if they were sold out. Will be coming back to the mall just for this.
July 21 · Taylor RalphI ordered oxtail and It was horrible. Taste like pure ketchup. Rice had no taste to it either. Got a patty for my son he didn’t like the patty either. Food was just horrible
January 16 · Samantha TaylorI looked forward to the jamaican food in the mall and was met with utter disappointment. The rice was hard, it was heated up in microwave, the cabbage tasted dry but the plaintains was good. I won’t be returning
July 27 · Sanub SinclairI enjoyed the service I received here. The lady serving was warm and provided me with information I asked. The cowfoot was great but the rice tasted horrible. The ripe plantains were burned badly so I three them away. They have fresh juices. These tasted okay but you could tell they were organic which is good. They weren’t too sweet.
