★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 13.5 stars. They’ve been open for about a week, and their focus seems to be on Greek sweets and baked goods. I stopped by after work and decided to try their homemade gelato and a container of Kourabiedes (classic Greek butter cookies).I went with a large Pistachio and Hazelnut Gelato ($12) and grabbed a container of cookies ($6–7).The cookies were pretty good. It was crumbly with a thick layer of powdered sugar. Very buttery and rich and messy. This would be perfect with coffee as an after-dinner treat. The gelato was tasty, but I did find it priced a bit high. Texture wise, it was very silky and creamy. The Hazelnut had a couple of whole hazelnuts, which I really liked, while the Pistachio had a deeper nutty flavor with some tiny bits of pistachio.Overall, both items were good but honestly there are so many bakeries in Astoria and some that are phenomenal. They certainly will have lots of competition in this neighborhood, so I wish them well.
