★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Well known for their flavorful chicken quesadilla ! Would recommend to call ahead and place your order due to the high demand of this late night craving.
September 02 · Georgie VargasI live close by and have gotten take out a few times. Like others, I really dig their “quesadillas” (really hard shell tacos with cheese on the bottom). I also like their various breakfast platters (see picture). The arbol salsa is also spectacular…However…some things here are not spectacular. As others have noted, their regular tacos are lackluster in no small part due to the piles of shredded iceburg lettuce they throw on top. Also some of the meats are kind of gross. Both the Al Pastor and chicken tacos were much wetter/sloppier than expected, tasted low quality, were in huge chunks, and had no evidence of being warmed up on a grill or flattop. I’ve had much better luck with just beans, chorizo and potato, and chicken tinga—-so I would recommend sticking to fillings where grilled meat is not the star (no chicken, no pastor, no steak, etc.)
April 16 · Stuart Davisfell inlove with st james quesadillas from the moment I tried it ! The chicken quesadilla are my go to order, I love the crunchiness of the hard shell with cheese on the bottom, their signature green sauce is out of this world and is what makes the place so great. I would recommend to call and pick up your order since Its located inside a deli which sometimes can get packed and feel a bit overwhelming. Definitely recommend if you are around the area and in the mood for some quesadillas !
May 04 · Dayanne Nunez-PerezI live right near the deli and I go there a lot. One time I got pretty high and I was craving literally any food so I went to the deli ordered 2 beef patties, and guac with chips and I went home and ate it all while ascending to heaven. Food is made with love and it all tastes so good.
September 18 · AmandaStay away from this deli at all cost. I been seeing reviews of this spot being unsanitary but totally dismissed it because I figured it was a neighborhood establishment. The first time I ordered from here I got 2 plates. they messed up one of the orders so bad they left out the chicken in the quesadillas and just gave me empty taco shells. They ended up just giving me credit to get another meal the next time I go back. But what’s funny is that the next day over my stomach was feeling pretty bad but yk, shit happens. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back to redeem the credit. Since 8pm last night, to now 2 in the afternoon today- I’ve been dealing with the most vicious food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. 102 degree fever all night with crazy intense bloating and gas from the bacteria in the food. And I can genuinely say that it came from this deli because I only have 2 meals total that day, and the only one I didn’t share with my girlfriend is the set James order, and she doing fine. Every time I have food from this place within 3 hours I’m feeling sick, just this most recent one is the worst case. It could literally be anything like someone in the back handling putting together the quesadillas with cross contaminated hands from raw meat or just not washing it. Or it could be a gone off batches of their sauces, but regardless this place really messed me up. If y’all care about what you eat and put in your bodies do not make the same mistake as I did and avoid this spot.
