I usually love Starbucks, but my experience at this location was disappointing.I ordered a grande Caramel Frappuccino but was given a Strawberry Matcha Frappuccino instead. Mistakes happen, but what bothered me more was the attitude when I asked if they could warm up a pastry I had purchased earlier from another Starbucks — something I’ve done at other locations with no problem.They refused, saying it’s against policy, even though the store was completely empty.Between the incorrect drink and the unhelpful service, this visit fell way below the standard I expect from Starbucks.

Tucked just up the block on 32nd street from Penn Station, this Starbucks is an easy stop for coffee and rest. The staff are unfailingly friendly and the coffee is “S’bucks” strong. In the afternoon I’m able to find tables or benches to ease the wait for nearby trains. The Manhattan prices are what they are: you’re paying for space and atmosphere.The tall tables and benches discourage loitering (which helps keep folks moving here), but the nearby outlets are quite convenient for a charging pitstop. Pretty consistently clean and peaceful, considering the chaotic bustle and screaming noise of nearby midtown.
