★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Came during Happy Hour.Bartenders were helpful and patient when I was trying to figure out what drink I wanted. I was back and forth between two drinks and did not feel rushed at all when I couldn’t figure out what drink I wanted. If you’re looking for something that is a perfect strong, I recommend the Unchained Passion. If you’re looking for some refreshing and not too sweet, then I recommend the Cucumber Stiletto. I don’t like sweet drinks and it was super hot so I wanted something refreshing. This was perfect! The cheesecake 10/10!! It tasted better than Juniors Cheesecakes. The vibes are cool! Definitely will be coming back!
June 30 · Harmeet SheemarDid you know ALL STK locations have happy hour every day?I pulled up on a Monday to their downtown rooftop and let me tell you — vibes, service, and deals were on point.Happy Hour Times:▪️ Mon–Fri: 2:30–6:30 PM▪️ Wednesday: 2:30–5:30 PM▪️ Late Night (Sun–Thurs): 10 PM–close🍸 Cocktails we tried: $9• Spiced Watermelon (award-winning )• Strawberry Cobbler• Blackberry Smash• Fade to Whiskey• Dragonfire• El Toro Rojo🍴 Food we enjoyed:• Popcorn Chicken (Yummy)• Crispy Calamari• Steak & Frites $9• Lil’ Burg w/ Truffle Fries• Short Rib Quesadilla (so good we almost ordered a third 👀)Favorites? The Blackberry Smash, Spiced Watermelon, and Strawberry Cobbler cocktails were unforgettable. And don’t sleep on the truffle fries or that short rib quesadilla to die for. The bernaise sauce wasn’t needed and the steak could’ve had a little most salt. The popcorn chicken was yummy and similar to chick-Fil-A nuggets and the bbq sauce wasn’t needed delicious. This is the perfect rooftop for happy hour, date night, or late-night hangs. Thank you, Jonah for your great customer service. You were so sweet to us.
September 06 · Geraldine EtienneThe STK near Bryant park was much better. I had stomach issues all night (possibly from the oysters) after eating there. We made reservations for the rooftop, but they sat us by the air conditioning which was too high. We told the bouncer (I guess that’s who he was) in a purple coat, but he instead turned the air conditioning higher. I told the waitress and she finally turned it down. We ordered our food after being told that our selections would have a bone in it. We ordered the Dry Aged Delmonico ($117 each - 14oz). We must have gotten something else because it didn’t have a bone (or maybe the waitress was mistaken - what do I know, I don’t work at a steakhouse, I work in finance). Many selections were unavailable (see the attached image of the menu with crossed out items - my wife wanted the cowgirl bone-in Ribeye and was severely disappointed). I still tipped 20% (which is the lowest I’ll tip), but I’m not going back to that location. I forgot to mention that I had to ask for bread and I only remembered because all the other tables received bread. I spent over $635 and felt taken advantage of. Never again.P.S. - There was a nice gentleman in the bathroom on the 2nd floor (who remarkably was able to tell me his life story in 2 minutes), but I felt bad because I don’t carry cash and could not tip him. Seems to be a demeaning and outdated job. If you’re going to keep him, please give him an Apple Pay machine. I’d have given him $2.
July 28 · Ah KehI am fan of the STK brand and this was my 3rd visit to one of their many locations around the world. I have to admit that this was truly underwhelming.Great location in the Meatpacking District. To access the rooftop restaurant on level 4, you first step into “STK Downtown”. The ambience here looks like what you would expect from an STK. I opted for the rooftop because the temps were mild and I thought it would be nice to dine outside. We had a 5pm reservation and were immediately seated.Ambience on the rooftop is decent. There is a small lounge area surrounded by vines and flowers. Nice for photos. The majority of the tables and bar are under a covered roof, and even the outdoor tables all have umbrellas. Overall, the cleanliness and ambience of the rooftop did not align with STK’s identity in my opinion. Many other reviews spoke negatively about the service and now I understand. Our server was really nice and pleasant, however it seemed like they were understaffed (bar and wait staff). Drinks took long to arrive and we couldn’t place our order until the drinks came. There were just too many occasions where we had to look for our server and the worst part is that they did not seem to be busy as the restaurant was not full. All of our empty dishes stayed on the table until we paid the check. We had to clean and stack dishes ourselves. Ordered a 2nd round of drinks and those were forgotten as we had to remind the server. Finally, we ordered salad and it seemed to also be forgotten. We had a table full of cooked items and we were missing what essentially could have been the first item to arrive. I cancel the item with our server, then 5 minutes later the salad arrives. We refused it.We went during happy hour and for an NYC happy hour, I highly recommend the menu for quality and value. Drinks were VERY good. We also ordered from the regular menu. I didn’t feel that any dish was amazing, but my family did agree that everything was good and above average. Highlights were the LOBSTER MAC & TUNA TARTARE TACOS (They are 2-mini tacos although the menu does not state that).Another small negative, the table rocked because the legs were uneven. Might sound stupid to some, but this can be very annoying when 4 people are dining. I’ve been at other high end restaurants where they immediately try to resolve.I have always viewed STK as a high end restaurant, but this service experience was not commensurate with the prices being charged. Definitely recommend the happy hour. Go to the bar after work. If you really want to dine, I would suggest trying downstairs.
June 29 · Antwaun WilliamsWe waited quite a long time before anyone came to our table, and eventually had to go to the bar just to put our drink order in. From the spring menu, we tried the steak skewers, but unfortunately they were so fatty they were inedible—we ended up sending them back. On the brighter side, the potstickers were excellent, and our waitress Jody was absolutely wonderful—very accommodating, attentive, and super friendly. For entrées, the short ribs were outstanding—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The filet mignon was good, but nothing particularly memorable given the high price point. Overall, the food was a mixed bag, and definitely felt overpriced for the experience. That said, the rooftop ambiance was great—we really enjoyed the lively atmosphere and music, which made the setting feel fun and vibrant.Bottom line: If you’re looking for a chic rooftop vibe with good energy, STK delivers. But for the price, the food quality and service speed could be more consistent.
