★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Loved this place! Since we stayed at the Standard Hotel on Christmas, we decided to enjoy our dinner at the grill. It was at the bottom floor of the hotel so we didn’t need to leave, which was the whole point. It just so happened that The Standard Grill was also a great place to have Christmas dinner. I enjoyed a delicious burger and my husband loved the steak. It was paired well with the sauce that it came with on the side (can’t remember what kind of sauce it was). The fries that came with my burger were so good he had to get his own serving. The waiter was friendly and everything he recommended was a hit! We weren’t near a TV so we watched the Christmas game on our phone, but that wasn’t a problem for us at all. We requested a booth when we made the reservation and we got one, it was like a nice cozy corner to ourselves. The Christmas decorations were gorgeous and classy. I saw they have a photo booth as well but we were too full and tired to try it, but I would love to visit again and try it out!
September 12 · Ellen KangahDinner tonight at The Standard Grill in the Meatpacking District was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and charm. Chris, the VIP Hospitality Director, made us feel like old friends—gracious, attentive, and effortlessly kind. Our waitress, AnneLise, elevated the entire dining experience with her impeccable service and friendly demeanor. Every interaction felt thoughtful and sincere, creating a seamless and elevated atmosphere from start to finish!
August 02 · hasna yahyaouiLet's start off with the fact that the bartenders make the cocktails how they want because their was zero consistency in my 2 martinis. The first drink made by a lady was superb and then the 5pm shift started and the nice guy made me another and it tasted like gin and water. Really disappointing so I didn't order any more drinks.I tried an item from the SAUZ menu and it was disappointing. The mozz wedges were laid on top of the sauce so the bottom half got super soggy and the worst, non crunchy texture that you don't want when something is fried.Stop placing hot fried items on sauces and lettuce. Literally makes no sense.I came by myself and stayed for about 2 hours, ate at the bar. It was super chill on a Thursday, easy to get a seat at the bar (where they serve their happy hour!).
August 29 · Jade ZellerWe went on a Friday afternoon. Overall the food was good, the outdoor seating was nice and the service in general acceptable. Prices were reasonable for two (2) people. We ended up paying $77 including the tip. The only odd thing was after talking to the hostess we were made to wait at the bar even though clearly there were multiple tables open inside and out. The hostess also made us wait as she spoke with a colleague. That’s a minor point but we were hungry! I would recommend this as a nice option if you are in the area (the Standard Hotel also has a mini ice cream stand around the corner and other restaurant options).
July 05 · Jonathan LimSpent a lovely evening on my last night in NYC. The ambiance and service was great, which was topped off by a very good dinner. The staff was attentive and helpful. My only wish was to have maybe 5 scallops as opposed to three since a restaurant we attended earlier in the week, their appetizer had three so for a dinner service I was expecting more. The scallops were cooked beautifully and the veggies were excellent.
