Sunday Supper Introduce
When flying out of New York City's LaGuardia Airport (LGA), the expectation for airport dining is often transactional and rushed. However, Sunday Supper, an Italian-American trattoria nestled within the modern Terminal C, completely redefines the pre-flight meal. This is not just airport food; it is a genuine, comfortable, and stylish escape, designed to transport diners far from the hustle and bustle of the concourse to an environment reminiscent of a classic New York Italian neighborhood, drawing inspiration from places like Arthur Avenue in the Bronx.
Sunday Supper is positioned as a Fine Dining restaurant, specializing in both Northern and Southern Italian cuisine, providing a comprehensive and authentic menu. The concept centers on traditional, heart-inspired, and ingredient-driven dishes, reflecting the generous spirit of a family Sunday dinner. This emphasis on heritage and heart transforms what would be a simple stopover into a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you’re a tourist passing through or a seasoned New Yorker starting a trip, the restaurant aims to offer a "friendly and comfortable respite."
The menu is approachable yet sophisticated, featuring Italian-American favorites that are perfect for sharing, such as the Sunday Supper Antipasti and hearty pasta dishes like Campanelle Alla Vodka and classic Spaghetti & Meatballs. With a full bar, fast service, and a setting that balances casual comfort with high-end ambiance, Sunday Supper stands out as a luxurious, yet accessible, amenity for travelers at LGA Terminal C. It caters to every meal of the day, making it a reliable and appealing option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Sunday Supper holds a unique and highly convenient location: LaGuardia Airport, Queens Terminal C, East Elmhurst, NY 11372, USA. Situated inside the secure area of the newly renovated Terminal C (often associated with Delta Airlines), the restaurant is strategically placed to serve travelers with time before or between flights.
As an airport restaurant, its primary audience is travelers, and accessibility is seamless once past the security checkpoint. The entire facility within the terminal is designed with modern travel convenience in mind. Furthermore, the establishment explicitly offers a wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring that all patrons can comfortably access the dining area.
While its location is not easily accessible to the general Queens public without a boarding pass, for travelers, its positioning within the terminal is ideal. It is noted to be just a short walk to the gates, allowing patrons to enjoy a satisfying meal without the stress of a long commute back to their boarding area. The presence of state-of-the-art technology, often including QR code ordering at the table, ensures the dining process is streamlined and efficient—a major factor in the fast-paced airport environment.
Sunday Supper offers a comprehensive array of services tailored to meet the varying needs of airport travelers, ranging from a quick bite to a full, leisurely fine dining experience.
Full-Service Dining and Bar: The core offering is a full dine-in experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, complete with comfortable seating and table service. An onsite bar serves a wide selection of alcohol, beer, cocktails, and wine, allowing for a relaxing pre-flight drink.
Quick and Efficient Service: The restaurant highlights "Fast service," a critical feature for travelers with tight schedules. This speed is often facilitated by modern technology, such as the ability to order via QR codes at the table, which minimizes wait times for both food and bill processing.
Takeout and Delivery: For travelers who are truly in a rush or prefer to eat closer to their gate, the restaurant provides both takeout and delivery options within the terminal, allowing them to grab a quick bite or sandwich on the go.
Diverse Menu for All Palates: The menu covers all dining options, from quick coffee and comfort food to sophisticated entrées like the Joyce Farms Ribeye Steak and Whole Roasted Branzino. It also features a dedicated Kids' menu (e.g., Kids Spaghetti & Meatball), making it a great option for families.
Cocktail and Beverage Program: A significant service is the extensive beverage menu, including popular cocktails like the Aperol Spritz, Manhattan, and Mezcal Mule, as well as a selection of premium bottled waters and coffee, enhancing the fine dining and casual bar atmosphere.
Sunday Supper distinguishes itself from standard airport fare with several remarkable features and highlights.
Authentic Italian-American Concept: The restaurant proudly embraces the "Sunday Supper" tradition, focusing on authentic, simple, and ingredient-driven dishes from both Northern and Southern Italian traditions. This commitment elevates the food beyond typical fast-casual airport quality.
Versatile Dining Experience: It successfully functions as a fine dining establishment yet maintains a "Casual" atmosphere. This flexibility means it’s popular for everything from a quick solo breakfast to a more leisurely dinner with a group, making it suitable for both the rushed and the delayed traveler.
Quality Menu Items: Highlights from the extensive menu include the Sunday Supper Polpette Di Mama (Meatballs), the wide variety of pasta like Campanelle & Sausage and clam sauces, and large-format pizzas like the Tartufata and Vegan Capri, ensuring options for traditionalists and those seeking plant-based meals.
Excellent Bar Program: The Bar onsite and extensive list of cocktails, beer, and wine are significant features. The cocktail menu, featuring classics and modern takes like the NY/NJ Paloma and Mezcal Mule, positions it as a great place for a high-quality pre-flight drink.
Comfort and Cleanliness: Customer reviews often highlight the "comfortable seating" and "clean" venue, noting it's a "nice place to sit and eat away from the hustle and bustle." This quiet, welcoming ambiance is a major draw in a chaotic airport setting.
Accommodating for Families: The inclusion of a dedicated Kids' menu and the "Good for kids" amenity ensures that families traveling through Terminal C have a reliable, full-service dining option.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I purchased 2 slices of pizza and a bottle of water and paid $22 & some change. The napkins were out so I asked the woman at the cashier for some. She handed me 1 napkin and had the audacity to have a nasty attitude with me! I asked her politely if I could have a couple more since I’m in the airport and my plane departs soon. She handed me 1 more napkin and refused to give me any more, her attitude was very rude and nasty. I ended up going to potbelly across and asked them if I could have some and they were very generous. I’m honestly shocked because I paid over $20 and couldn’t get some napkins? That’s just ridiculous. This was my first time going to this place and now will be my last.
March 18 · Mari MFriendly and professional service. Comfortable seating. Clean. Decent food. Generous portions. Normal airport pricing. It was a nice place to sit and eat while waiting an hour or so to head to our gate. We ordered online (QR code at table). The breakfast sandwich comes with your choice of bread - bagel, English muffin, and a couple of other options. It included a generous portion of scrambled eggs and crispy bacon with a nice sauce. The breakfast potato’s are old school and on the greasy side. The coffee was average. My partner got the breakfast plate. Everything was fresh and pretty average. The best part of the meal was the comfortable and quiet venue. It’s a nice place to have a conversation away from the hustle and bustle of the concourse. It is also just a short walk to the gates.
September 03 · Thomas AlbinsonPretty good breakfast food! We ordered the Sunday breakfast. Not the most expensive cost per plate for a nice environment to wait in.Big portions, hot food, good flavor. Love the scallion potatoes and the coffee with the free refill. The service was really fast, and the employee who served our table was friendly and polite. Will be back!
November 14 · Lesley YuenThe food was okay and so was the service. Too pricey for this quality but you have to put up with airport prices, right?
July 26 · Dumitrita Paladi ContesThis place is definitely worth checking out! Delta has recently taken over the all new C terminal at LGA and with it came some pretty decent restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by Sunday Supper. Ordering was a breeze and the place was very clean. Within minutes we were enjoying our meal which was 100 times better than anything we could get in the airline lounge. Yes! It's pricey for what you get. This is the airport in one of the most expensive cities in the US so that was a given.Being able to seat yourself, and not wait in line like cattle was a good thing. Thanks for a great dining experience.
