Tacos Morelos Introduce
For New Yorkers craving an authentic taste of Mexico right here in Brooklyn, Tacos Morelos is a name that resonates with flavor, tradition, and reliable quality. Far from the typical, over-Americanized fare, this Mexican restaurant (with roots in the city's popular food truck scene) is dedicated to serving up genuine comfort food and specialties—Antojitos Mexicanos—that honor its heritage from the State of Morelos, Mexico. It’s a cherished spot for both Locals and Tourists alike who appreciate fresh ingredients and bold flavors.
Tacos Morelos offers an extensive menu that covers all the classics, from the namesake Tacos (available at $5.00 a piece) to generously sized Burritos and Quesadillas ($17.00 each). What sets them apart, however, is their commitment to less commonly found items in the city, such as Tlacoyos ($7.50) and Huaraches ($16.00), giving a nod to the deep culinary traditions of Central Mexico. The focus here is on hearty portions, made-to-order dishes, and the ability to serve you quickly, making it a perfect spot for a Quick Bite or a satisfying meal during Lunch or Dinner.
The atmosphere at Tacos Morelos is decidedly Casual, inviting you to relax and focus on the food. It's an excellent choice for Solo Dining, a quick meal with Groups, or even bringing the Children for a family-friendly meal. The reputation for Fast Service means you won't be waiting long to dig into your Carne Asada Tacos or Al Pastor Burrito, both of which are celebrated by regulars for their well-seasoned, high-quality ingredients and complex flavor profiles.
The dedication to fresh components is evident in their offerings, including freshly prepared sides like Chips And Guacamole ($10.00) and house-made drinks like the traditional Horchata, providing the perfect accompaniment to the savory, often spicy, main courses. When you are seeking a genuine, filling, and flavorful Mexican experience in Brooklyn, Tacos Morelos delivers.

Tacos Morelos is a must-visit for any New Yorker in the Brooklyn area looking for Authentic Mexican Street Food. What is truly worth choosing here is the balance between familiar comfort dishes and the opportunity to try genuine regional specialties. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I came here yesterday Saturday October 12th after coming out of work. I had decided to buy dinner because I just wanted to go home and rest. I decided on the Quesadilla. I was assisted by two older women. They were nice in their assistance.According to the menu I was suppose to recieve a Quesadilla with cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce, mexican crema, and spicy sauce. On my way home wheb I opened my package to eat it all I received was a Quesadilla with chicken and cheese and a little dry salad on the side.I was shocked. I was really upset because I don't have those type of funds to be buying Dinner when I already buy out lunch on a work day. But I decided that the following day, being today Sunday that since I was passing the train stop from my work location where this Food Truck is at that I would give them an opportunity to rectify the situation. When I went the two older women were not there. This time it was two middle aged men. I showed the heavy set man at the cash register proof of purchase through showing that I ordered from my bank transaction. I would have prefer to show an e-mail receipt but that was not an option. Actually I was not even asked if I wanted a receipt at all. I do prefer to always obtain a receipt anywhere I go.The heavy set man apologized and said perhaps it was because it was really busy. I said "I can understand that but the right thing to do would be to prepare me a new order since with all the content that is stated in the menu it should have that I paid for. Getting anything less is an incorrect order. Thats integrity of business. I would have never purchased if I had read that it was a Quesadilla with just chicken and cheese because I would have not liked that as a meal. That does not taste good to me."His response was that I did get a Quesadilla but what can be done is I pay $10 and they would make me a new one. Or really what would be more fair is that he would just give me the content that was not included so just crema, guacamole, and pico de gallo without the tortilla cheese or chicken. Or I can just order again and he would just give me a little more in regards to content. That guy was rude. The options did not make sense to me. I just did not believe that this Food Truck handled the situation the way a Sit Down Restaurant would have.I just said I would not return back to buy from that place again. Terrible. A real apology is when you make things right and not when you say it to appear as if you care when your actions clearly show you dont. Empty apologies. Empty words.I did return back and had a conversation with the two older women whom I had originally been served by. They kindly explained to me their Return Policy, comparing what would have been done at a sit-down restaurant. And did tell me that next time it would be ideal to have taken a picture of the food. I decided to take the content of the Quesadilla that was missing. For that I am raising rating of this review.
October 22 · Angelica Venturathe Taco Morelos truck is parked off Bedford, on North 7th. Open from lunchtime to late night, the food truck serves up a variety of Mexican street / comfort foods like tacos, burritos, tortas and more. Accepts cash or card or Apple Pay! if you’re looking for filling food that is made to order, can’t go wrong here.recently ordered steak tacos and Al pastor burrito. both were really good. the carne asada taco was filled up with plenty of well-seasoned steak chunks—topped with onions, pico de Gallo, guacamole, and a spice sauce…the taco was superb savory and had a nice kick to it. the burrito (while not huge) was pretty sizable. filled with a good amount of rice, black beans, pico de Gallo, lettuce, corn, crema, cheese, guacamole, spicy sauce and grilled chunks of pork wrapped up in a warm tortilla. tbh, the burrito was pretty spectacular. flavors came through bc the ingredients taste fresh—from savory to spicy to a touch of sweetness. the Al Pastor burrito is a filling delight. carne asada taco, $4 + tax + tip; al pastor burrito, $12 + tax + tipstaff is friendly and doesn’t rush orders. appreciate the effort and don’t mind the extra wait.
August 22 · Ruwan J.DELICIOUS! Came prepared for mid tacos and was absolutely blown away. The Tlacoyo was incredible. Would have taken a photo but it disappeared before my eyes. Will be back 🌮🇲🇽
March 29 · Andrea VieraThis is the best taco truck in Brooklyn. The tacos are fresh made on the spot. Portions are good and also the price.
June 13 · Brooklyn BornConvenient little truck that takes tap transactions. Ask for a fork for the nachos tho! It gets messy.
