Tartinery Café - Bar | Olympic Tower Introduce
In the bustling heart of New York City, finding a cafe that offers both high-quality food and a unique, tranquil atmosphere can be a rare treat. Tartinery Café - Bar at Olympic Tower is precisely one of those exceptional places. It embodies a "French-ish" lifestyle, bringing a classic European cafe-bar concept to the high-energy environment of New York. From the moment you step inside, you are transported to a casual-yet-chic space that feels both relaxed and elevated. It’s a place where you can escape the Fifth Avenue crowds, settle in, and enjoy a perfectly crafted meal with a backdrop that feels almost surreal. Tartinery's philosophy is rooted in providing New Yorkers with the best, from locally sourced ingredients to attentive service, proving that casual dining doesn't mean compromising on quality.
This particular location of Tartinery stands out, not only for its commitment to quality but also for its spectacular setting. Situated on the first floor of the Olympic Tower building, the cafe features high ceilings and large glass windows that create an open, airy feel. However, this is easily offset by the magnificent views it offers. Looking out from your table, you are treated to an unobstructed, majestic view of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, one of New York's most iconic landmarks. This provides a truly magical and memorable backdrop, whether you're having a quick coffee or a leisurely meal. The combination of a relaxed indoor environment and a world-famous view makes it a highly sought-after spot for both locals and visitors seeking a special dining experience without the formality of a full-service restaurant.

The cafe is easily accessible via numerous subway lines, including the E and M trains at 5th Avenue-53rd Street, and the B, D, F, M, and 7 trains at 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr. Tartinery was such a delicious and memorable stop during our NYC adventure. We ordered the Croque Monsieur, Croque Madame, and the Warm Rice Bowl—and every dish was absolutely satisfying. Perfectly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented.Service was top-notch and impressively fast, which made the experience feel effortless, even in the heart of the city. But what truly set it apart was the view—looking out at the majestic St. Patrick’s Cathedral while enjoying a relaxed, elevated meal felt almost surreal.Highly recommend for anyone wanting a casual-yet-chic meal with a little bit of magic in the backdrop. 🥖✨⛪️
July 29 · K RhodesI’ve been to several Tartinery locations in the city and this has one of the best views. It’s right next to the gorgeous St. Patrick’s Cathedral, with high ceilings and glass windows. It’s located on the 1st floor of a building and does have a bit of office / mall cafe feel, but it’s a nice, open space. They have table service (it’s not a cafeteria) but there were food crumbs left on the seats, so I’m not sure how well they clean them…I ordered the Smashed Avocado Petite Tartine with a soft-boiled egg ($14.25+). It is pricey for what you get, but the egg was boiled perfectly and nicely presented—and it was tasty, too.If you’re looking for a brunch place in the area and enjoy spectacular views, I’d recommend stopping by.
July 03 · Sawako YEdwin was our server, and he was absolutely wonderful—so nice and welcoming. During our stay in NYC, we visited Tartinery twice, and both times we were lucky to have Edwin as our server. He made the experience even better. I definitely recommend this restaurant, and especially if Edwin is your server!
September 15 · Brenda luqueGreat spot for breakfast, lunch or a snack near 5th Ave! Right across the St from St. Patrick’s Cathedral. I enjoyed an egg & cheese brioche with added bacon. It was delicious, fresh and perfect. Also had a Bellini, tasty. The staff was also very professional, welcoming and wonderful! 10/10 stars! Highly recommend!
June 28 · Elizabeth PWe found this cool spot near Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is calmed and fun. Our server, Edwin, was awesome—really helpful and gave us great suggestions. Their watermelon Spritz tastes natural and so refreshing! Would definitely come back. 🍉
