I had been craving authentic South Indian food for a long time, and I finally found the perfect place! The Idli, Dosa, Sambhar, and Coconut Chutney were absolutely spot-on—fresh, flavorful, and comforting. We tried the Masala Dosa, Egg Set Dosa, Mini Idlis, Gobi Lasuni, Mutton Starter, and the Kotu Veg Paratha—everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Every bite took me right back home!The only letdown was the Payasam dessert, which was a bit too sweet and milky for my taste—but everything else more than made up for it.The speed of service was great, and the ambience was warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxed meal. Special thanks to Chef Kumar, Manager Joyti, and Raghu, who took our order and gave amazing recommendations.Thoroughly enjoyed the experience—this is now my go-to spot for South Indian food!

While coming back from Long Island visited Taste of Chennai. Food was excellent. They have large menu and we ordered Veg Thali, Chicken Thali and Fish Thali. All of them were delicious and tasty. Will surely recommend to all Indians food lovers..

Since I checked positive reviews about taste of Chennai I thought I should give it a try ….order was ready to pick up in less than 10 minutes. I’m big into biryani’s but this is very disappointing getting something like this. just two pieces of dry chicken without any masala. It doesn’t look fresh at all …

The food was delicious. We had a mix of spicy to mild. Spicy is very spicy but tolerable and mild was slight spicy. We were delighted starting with the Sweet Lassi (not too sweet) and the Mango Lassi. Then we had a mixture of mutton / chicken curry, onion chili naan and a little bit of different plates. The service took time cause perfection doesn’t happen in a microwave but it was worth the wait. We will definitely come back soon.

Truly authentic South Indian flavors! We loved the biryani and the rich, flavorful specialty curries. The Chicken 65 and fried fish were absolute standouts—crispy, perfectly spiced, and cooked just right. Even a few friends we brought along were impressed and loved every bite. We always make sure to take out if we cannot dine in. Highly recommend if you're craving bold, delicious South Indian cuisine! Staff is very friendly too.
