★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have never had french cuisine till dining here. My words would truly fall shorts for how outstanding the food tastes and the service is. So many attentive personnel. The atmosphere took you out of Brewster, New York and into a warm and peaceful far-off place. For my first experience myself, my husband, our kids and family members have been incredibly impressed. We will be returning, and I am eager to do so.
September 21 · Latasha Fisher-RuizMy first visit under new ownership. I really enjoyed it. The door swung open as we approached the entrance and we were warmly greeted by the staff and taken to our table. We started with Gravlax and the salad and had the NY Strip and Halibut as mains. All were excellent. The strip was sizzling hot with a nice crust, but cooked rare as requested. Price points are more reasonable than some other local French restaurants with slightly more relaxed service than some of its peers as well. Great views outside. Will be back.
September 07 · Brian KrickI attended Sunday Brunch. I started with polenta bites and had Croque madame as entree. Meal was outstanding. I was too sated to order dessert! Meal, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. Well worth the price! Also, a very romantic place!
September 24 · Marian BelliMy husband and I went to The Arch Restaurant for Valentine's Day, and it was a lovely experience. The restaurant has an authentic, old-world charm, and the real fireplace added to the warm and intimate ambiance—perfect for a romantic evening. For the holiday, they offered a prix fixe three-course menu. I started with the Beef Carpaccio (black truffle aioli, crispy capers, pickled caviar, chili crunch, crispy garlic). While the flavors were nice, I found the slices a bit too thick—carpaccio is usually paper-thin for that melt-in-your-mouth experience. For my entrée, I had Coq au Vin, and it was outstanding! The chicken was braised beautifully, incredibly tender, and full of rich, well-balanced flavors. The vegetables and fingerling potatoes were perfectly cooked and complemented the dish wonderfully.Dessert was the highlight! I had the Cherry Sponge Cake (red wine cherry reduction, lemon-scented vanilla gelato), and it was absolutely divine. If I could, I would have ordered ten more! I really hope they make this a permanent menu item. The service was attentive, and overall, it was a very enjoyable evening. I look forward to coming back to try their regular menu. If you're looking for a cozy, elegant dining experience, The Arch is definitely worth a visit!
February 14 · Alp OjalvoIt’s a nice quaint old house, but it’s very loud. There’s nothing to extort the sound not even curtains. The staff was quite confused. One waiter comes over and asked if we want water or a bottled water. We said sparkling bottled water. Bus boy came over and asked if we wanted water we said that we told the waiter we wanted sparkling bottle of water. The Bus boy ended up giving us regular water after talking to the waiter. Then we received our drinks then a different waiter took our order for appetizers and dinner says yes to put them in both the same time which we don’t like. I might change my mind after the appetizers and what I want for dinner based on if I’m full or not. I got the escargot I expected to be in the shell and it was in a tray of oil. It had oil taste, and that was it. I’ve had escargot plenty of times and I’d say that this was the worst one. Most of the food is good but it’s just tasteless. There’s not much taste so needless to say we will not be going back and I forgot to check my bill if they charged us for the sparkling water but didn’t get it.
