★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Canary, my new go-to.I recently changed work neighborhoods, and this place instantly became my favorite. The bartenders are friendly, the atmosphere is laid back and welcoming, and late nights are full of industry folks, the kind of crowd that makes it feel like a neighborhood spot.To top it off…the have the NFL ticket (as a Seahawks fan, that’s gold it is nearly impossible to catch a game on this side of the country, but here they’ve got me covered). Great food, great vibe…exactly what you want in a pub.I love this place. Simple as that.
September 11 · Lucy GomezThis was surprisingly a really good bar. It’s a very narrow spot but great! The staff is very kind, food came relatively quickly. Drinks were strong! We came during happy hour (4-8pm). We got a $10 mojito, spicy marg, $6 Chardonnay, $14 Old Bay wings, $8 truffle fries.Food was great! The booth seats on the left side were quite narrow but we had a good time here and will certainly be back again!
December 28 · Monét ThibouGreat place with a chill vibe, good drinks, and food. I had the pleasure of hanging at the canary for my friend (Mikey) birthday get-together. We had a nice time catching up. A few rum and cokes and the Buffalo wings hit the spot. The birthday man had a good time between the beers, cocktails, food, bartender, and server. The canary is a definite place to check out.
August 23 · Trevor BonnerI love this spot. If I didn’t live in DC I’d be here more. Had a few different cocktails which were solid, enjoyed some wings which I liked. The atmosphere was great. It’s a thin bar so sometimes getting by takes some work. Service was great. I bought a hoodie before I left. Can’t wait to return.
August 05 · Adam JuniorFirst time at The Canary and it will definitely not be the last! The place was packed at 9:30pm on a weeknight and that’s all I needed to know when I peeped through the window. My party and I were greeted immediately upon entering which means a lot to me because in this economy any extra money spent outside of my household is a huge splurge. Everything from the waitstaff to the last bite was amazing and more than worth the 30 minute hunt for parking! I will definitely be returning whenever I am nearby.
