THE GRANGE Introduce
For New York residents seeking an escape from the city routine or simply a phenomenal, ethically-sourced meal in Orange County, THE GRANGE in Warwick offers a distinguished American dining experience. Far from being a typical restaurant, THE GRANGE positions itself as an Organic restaurant committed to the farm-to-table philosophy, utilizing seasonal vegetables and proteins often sourced from their own farm and other local Hudson Valley purveyors. This dedication to fresh, local ingredients translates into an ever-changing "Chalkboard Menu" that features creative and sophisticated American cuisine.
The atmosphere of THE GRANGE is a major part of its allure. Housed in a charming, historic building—reportedly a former post office—the interior is described as cozy, small, and full of character. The ambiance is enhanced by beautiful artwork, a welcoming fireplace, and lighting designed to create a Romantic and casual setting. This combination of historic charm and modern culinary execution makes it a trendy destination for locals and tourists alike, including those seeking an LGBTQ+ friendly environment.
The culinary focus is on creating dishes that are both Comfort food and Healthy options. Patrons consistently rave about the high quality and gourmet nature of the food. Highly recommended items include the Wild Caught, Domestic Sablefish, praised for its silky texture, and the rich, classic Lemon Curd dessert with fresh meringue. Entrees often feature premium proteins like La Belle Farm Duck Breast and HVCC Sliced NY Strip Steak, demonstrating a commitment to regional sourcing. Even the Grange Classics like the various salads and the Tonjes Farm Cheese Selection reflect a focus on high-quality, local specialty ingredients.
Complementing the food is an exceptional beverage program, which features a Great wine list with dessert wines like Dow's Tawny Porto, a Great beer selection including local Hudson Valley brews, and expertly crafted Cocktails. This attention to detail across the menu, from coffee and tea to alcohol, contributes to the overall feeling of a truly pampered and “spoiled” dining experience, as noted by appreciative customers.
A crucial point for planning a visit, however, is the high demand and the venue's intimate size. While the service is lauded for being "very attentive" and "warm," one review highlights a common pitfall of popular, smaller establishments: reservations are highly recommended, if not required, for dinner, and are certainly advised for brunch seating due to the small capacity. This practice ensures a high level of attentive Table service for those who plan ahead.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. The restaurant is small and full of charm, with beautiful artwork on the walls. We were given a really warm welcome and very attentive service. It is clear that the people who work here take great pride in the restaurant - as they should, and care about their customers. My friend and I opted for the prix fixe menu and started with a caesar salad and cheese plate - which were excellent. For the entree I highly recommend the sable fish - like cod, except silky! I had the lemon dessert which was amazing! I cannot say enough nice things about our experience. We were really spoiled by the service and gourmet food. I can't wait to go back! Thank you!
October 13 · AMKI came to Warwick to spend a pleasant day, escaping the New York routine, and I wanted to stop by this restaurant because it had good reviews. When I arrived, I was told they couldn't serve me because I had to make a reservation. I looked around and there was no one there. They should treat their customers better; I was just going to get something to eat and leave!
July 26 · Genesis ValbuenaAfter living within five mins from The Grange and never have gone in, my gf and I went there for date night last night. The Grange was by far the best meal I have had in a long time in the Warwick/Vernon area. From start to finish everything we had was awesome. The atmosphere was super cozy and very comfortable. Both meals were super flavorful and we were extremely impressed. We will be sure to go back.
April 28 · Andrew SoltesMy friends and I are always in search of Farm to Table meals when we go out to eat. On this particular Friday we were heading over to hike the Stair Way to Heaven… which for me was absolutely grueling at most parts and while the view at the top was majestic what made the hike worth it was the epic 3 course meal we all got to share together afterwards. The Grange was extremely accommodating with our party of 6. At first they couldn’t take us but just as I was calling another location they rang back and had rearranged things to fit us in. We were told we would have to do a prefix meal costing $65 for each person because of our parties size. Only one person had a complaint about that because “she doesn’t usually eat that much.” Once we got to the entrees she was drooling all over the place and saying that she’s so happy we had to do a prefix because everything was delicious. Between the six of us we ordered the entire menu and got to try a little bit of everyone plate, cause that’s how we roll. Each bite was transcendental. Scored by soft and soulful music that played from a record player in the background. I just freaking can’t wait to go back there and have my mind blown again. ORDER EVERYTHING!
July 11 · Cynthia McCrightI recently had the pleasure of dining at this place, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from the start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect cozy charm. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with freshness and flavors. Highly recommended this place. 😋😋😋😋😋
