The Modern Reviews
Such a great experience! We had an early dinner, at the outdoor garden, overlooking the sculpture garden. The food was spectacular but above all - the service was impeccable! Our sever John was very kind and patient, explaining us the different options we had with all our dietary restrictions. We thought it would be a quick dinner but ended up staying for almost for 3 hours.
September 13 · itai shamirUnfortunately not quite up to standards as a 2* Michelin restaurant should be - the food was good, but not great. No dish was inherently bad or a “miss”, but it just consistently felt a little short of other 2* quality restaurants I’ve been to.The service is phenomenal and the wine pairing was great. But the food itself didn’t quite hit the mark and felt like it was consistently just below expectations for what the quality is typically at for a restaurant of this level. It wasn’t any one thing in particular was is unfortunate. Some dishes it was a lack of seasoning, others it was an over-emphasis of a given ingredient. I think The Modern is close to being great, but needs to perhaps refine the current menu a bit.
September 15 · Conor HarrisFood was amazing. The most exquisite seasonable ingredients. Service was impeccable and the restaurant was so accommodating on my multiple food restrictions (pregnant with gestational diabetes). We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and had such a memorable and lovely one!! We’re already planning to come back for the kitchen table experience with friends!
August 31 · Jingwei TengHands down one of the top three restaurants I’ve dined at so far this year. Every single out plate of this kitchen was spectacular, truly amazing! Way exceeded my expectations. Well deserved it’s coveted 2 Michelin star
August 21 · Daniel ChowBeautiful atmosphere. Exceptional flavors. Accommodating to vegan though omitting the protein (lobster in my case) made the plate of plants seem slightly less value for money. Service and quality made up for that. Gorgeous and low key spot for a fine dining lunch. Seasonally driven high quality food.
