★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Weird that you can't sit at a table during happy hour when the place is empty. My Frozen drink was woefully small even for happy hour. It looked more like an after-dinner drink.Very friendly host and enthusiastic wait staff. The food was hit and miss for sure. It seemed like there are Cooks in the kitchen but no one really making sure the food is spot on.Excellent bread! We really liked the spring pasta with asparagus and peas. The broccolini salad was decent. The asparagus with hazelnuts needed more oomph. The chicken Milanese was dry, overcooked and incredibly acidic. I thought the spinach was going to be cooked but it turned out to be raw and there was a ton of it on top of the salad. I personally find spinach salad hard on the teeth with all the oxalic acid. The stuffed squash blossoms were not crispy and the feeling was too moist maybe that's why they weren't crispy. I did like the tomato sauce they were in. The other sauce was indistinguishable.
June 22 · Jackie Gordon Singing ChefThis place was a fantastic little lunch find! 3 of us shared the kale salad with breaded chicken and the prosciutto dish, and it was perfect. The orange wine was refreshing and crisp in the perfect glasses. The inside decor is cute and calming. Would recommend for a lunch stop along your High Line walk!
July 25 · Lauren DenysekWent to Orchard townhouse on a Monday with my bestie she got a glass of cab sauv and I got chamomile fields, which I loved. For appetizer we got the prosciutto & stracciatella, which was fantastic! Lastly, we split the burger and the kale Caesar. They were nothing to write home about but good nonetheless. I loved the vibe in this place it was cozy and intimate. I will say my only complaint is we felt a little rush towards the end and that surprised us since the place was no where near closing nor was it busy.
January 16 · Ry BreadGreat spot to go for weekend brunch with refreshing takes on brunch classics. We ordered the potato latke with smoked salmon and the fried egg sandwich. Both were filling and simple while being memorable. Looking forward to returning!
November 12 · Elizabeth JonesCame here with family, got to try a lot of the menu! Almost every dish here was cooked perfectly, a great spot for American contemporary food if you’re looking for a nice dinner. The backyard heated patio was a lovely space, fully covered etc. The Hen of the Woods was incredible, perfectly crispy and tender with a nice sauce overtop. The Brussels sprouts were equally great, well roasted and coated with a citrus sauce that cuts the oiliness well. The cured trout-amazing, light, fresh, well balanced. The corn bread was more of a fried outer layer with soft corn filling on the inside, but super tasty. The pull apart milk bread was perfectly soft, butter had a bit of an off taste but also completely subjective. For the entrees we got cheeseburgers, the forage, chicken Milanese, and hanger steak. My Milanese was perfectly cooked, crisp layer of breading with juicy chicken breast on the inside, but only came with that and a bed of greens. Although well cooked, it was a little lackluster in what came with it (a little dry, even with the nice anchovy sauce on top). The Dorade was amaaazing, perfectly cooked and plated. The steak was alright, a little average, but fries were nice. The desserts also great, no complaints really. Definitely not a cheap place, but more or less worth the prices!
