★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1TikTok led me here—and let me just say, it did not disappoint! This spot has one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. It was definitely worth the wait for a fresh, warm batch of gooey, chocolatey goodness. The boutique-style pastry shop is cozy, with a few seats inside and a couple outside. The ambiance is charming and inviting, but the real star of the show? Those cookies.I traveled all the way from the Bronx during my NYC trip just to try them, and I’m so glad I did. They were so good, I ended up ordering extra to bring back home to ATL. Highly recommend if you’re a cookie lover or just want a sweet treat that lives up to the hype!
July 25 · D’Jillisser KThe Pastry Box is my ritual when visiting friends in the East Village. It is always consistent, and I haven't had a bad menu item! The cinnamon buns are amazing!! Always fresh items and the owner is always kind!
August 26 · kaylaI have had a lot of chocolate chip cookies in NYC and the pastry box is my absolute favorite now. I was not expecting much given the thinness of the cookie, me being partial to chubby, thick ones, but I was blown away by the flavor and the texture. The chocolate chip cookie here is perfect. It's bigger than my face, it's chewy, it has the perfect ratio of chocolate, and the salt adds a good balance. I literally devoured this cookie in under a minute. I honestly can't wait to have it again. I'll be sure to get 2 next time cuz I know I'll want more after having one.
May 06 · Jessica YangDelicious chocolate chip cookie, straight out of the oven! Crispy on the edges and gooey in the center. The staff are so lovely too. Definitely will be returning to this quaint air conditioned spot!!
July 27 · Kyler M.This is my favorite spot for cookies in the entire city. The chocolate chip is perfectly soft in the middle and crisp on the edges. It is a huge cookie and not too sweet so you can pick up the subtlety of every ingredient. It tastes legitimately special. The owner is usually behind the counter working hard to get as many baked goods out as possible. Every time I am able to snag a cookie it feels like I won. I have never had to deal with a line here but I can imagine they form on weekends. You can tell the owner wants people to try the other baked goods and one day I will but the cookie is so dang good.
