## What is Worth Choosing?
With an extensive and intriguing menu, deciding what to order at Thea can be a delightful challenge. For a true taste of what makes this bakery special, start with the pastries. The Jerusalem Bagel is a must-try, offering a unique, airy texture and a healthy coating of sesame seeds that's a refreshing departure from the typical New York bagel. Another standout is the Kataifi Croissant, a creative and delicious fusion that combines a flaky croissant with Greek-inspired kataifi and pastry cream. And for those with a sweet tooth, the Chocolate Chile Babka or Cinnamon Walnut Babka are crowd-pleasers, providing a rich, gooey, and satisfying experience. The Mango Labne Maritozzi is also a unique and popular choice, showcasing the bakery's innovative flair.
Beyond the baked goods, Thea’s savory menu is equally impressive. The Bacon Egg And Cheese breakfast sandwich is a local favorite, made with thick, flavorful bacon on fantastic bread. For lunch, the sandwiches are a definite highlight. The Chicken Shawarma Sandwich is widely praised, packed with flavor and expertly prepared. The Banh Mi Falafel offers a creative and delicious vegetarian option, a testament to the bakery’s skill in fusing different culinary traditions. If you’re looking for a larger meal, the Kofte Kebab Plate or Chicken Schnitzel Plate are excellent choices, served with fresh sides. And don’t forget to explore the grain bowls, with options like the Smoked Chicken Grain Bowl offering a healthy and hearty meal. Pair any of these with a meticulously prepared coffee, such as the Cardamom Latte, for a complete and memorable meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Really great bakery. Loved the babka and cinnamon roll. The filling for the kataifi croissant was delicious but found the croissant and little too cooked for my taste. The falafel banh mi was tasty I’d like to try the other sandwiches. Would definitely go back to try more stuff
September 08 · the bbwent on a saturday after a run at 1pm. got the croissant, just missing the chocolate chili babka. i will be back for the babka. everything looks amazing and it smells wonderful inside. line is about 10-15mins wait.
September 07 · Alison PouwI was pleasantly surprised to find a short line when I arrived around 1 pm, though they were sold out of most of their pastries. The cinnamon walnut babka was still available. It was good, but not mind-blowing. I decided to try their lunch special: a chicken shawarma sandwich, and it was hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, definitely in the top tier! I also tried one of their teas, which was forgettable. But overall, the experience was so good, I’m already planning my next visit to try more treats.
February 23 · Veronica ElaineStopped in on a weekday about 2pm hoping I could get my hands on their kataifi croissant, Jerusalem bagel and chocolate chip cookie. Unfortunately, 2pm was too late so I got one out of the three and got a kouign amman since I can NEVER walk out of a new bakery with just one item! The kataifi croissant was good...maybe a little too much filling for my taste? I know, it's a strange and small gripe. Still delicious. The kouign amman was also very very good. One of the better ones in NYC and, yes, I have had my fair share.Staff was lovely, environment was good - more outdoor than indoor seating on a hot NYC day meant these were coming home.I'll definitely be back to try the tems missed and more.
July 15 · Lisa WilliamsCame specifically for the babka ice cream sandwich and left disappointed. the babka was way too hard (understand it needs to be more toasted than usual to hold the ice cream but it was hard and dry enough to cut your gum) and ice cream was meh.twice baked croissant was even more disappointing, couldn’t taste the filling.not recommended at all
August 24 · Vanessa WanBEST cinnamon roll I have ever had. ACTUAL cinnamon flavor that punches your mouth with warm spice! Also tried the breakfast boureka and the Kataifi Croissant. I wish there were more distinct flavor profiles for these two, they both felt a bit more bland but still enjoyable. Would go back to try the Jerusalem bagel and maybe a drink?!
