What is Worth Choosing
When deciding what to choose at Tu Casa, the answer heavily depends on whether you are dining in or opting for delivery. The restaurant is widely Popular for Lunch and Dinner, and it’s a great spot for Solo dining or a night out with Groups.
The Dine-In Experience: For the best experience, dining in is highly recommended. Patrons often praise the quick and friendly services and the high quality of the specialty dishes. The Ceviche (especially the Ceviche Mixto and Ceviche De Camarones) is a definite standout, described as "delicious" and truly authentic. Another highly popular choice is the rotisserie chicken; trying the 1/2 Chicken With Rice And Beans is a classic choice, and for a big meal, consider the Lo Grande De Tu Casa combo. The ability to enjoy Wine or a pitcher of fresh Sangria (though some may find it a bit tart, it's worth trying) in the Cozy and Trendy setting adds significantly to the appeal.
The Delivery Factor: While the dine-in experience excels, potential delivery and takeout customers in New York should be aware of varying reports on food quality and customer service for off-premises orders. Some users have noted issues with portions, food temperature, and service responsiveness regarding takeout. Therefore, if choosing the delivery option, selecting the signature, freshly-prepared items like the Ceviche or a Lomo Saltado is often the safer bet, focusing on the higher-end, complex dishes that define the Peruvian restaurant type. Despite some inconsistencies with delivery logistics, the core of the menu—the comfort food like Pollo Saltado and the array of Small plates and appetizers like Papa A La Huancaina—remains a strong draw for those seeking authentic Latin American flavors in Forest Hills.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Me and my hubby came for lunch .. everything was delicious ...we got ceviche with shrimp and mix seafood with yuca. 😋😋😋😋...Also got half a pitcher of sangria , it was alright , had better , this was too sour (wine). Quick and friendly services. Will for sure be coming back.
March 23 · Viktoriya ShainZERO Stars – Never AgainThis place has a terrible rating for a reason! Read the numerous negative reviews for yourself!I ordered 2 takeout quarter chicken with rice and beans, and the quality was absolutely terrible. The chicken was cold, the rice was a clumpy mess, and there was barely a spoonful of mashed-up beans thrown on top. I’ve included a picture so you can see exactly what I received. I paid 28+ dollars for it!!When I called to complain, I was told they no longer serve the beans separately in a container—something they used to do. Now, even though the price has gone up, the portions and quality have gone way down. When I expressed my disappointment and asked for a refund, the woman on the phone laughed and said that wouldn’t be happening. Instead, she said I could come back and, as a courtesy, they’d give me more beans. Seriously?Overpriced, terrible food, and awful customer service. Never again. Stay away!!
May 19 · Sandra FVery disappointed in Peruvian restaurant I got half of chicken with rice and beans. First of all chicken is not fresh burnt very dry and no flavor. Rice and beans they should call rice and water from beans. Shrimp soup that is $18 not what I would expect not so fresh and luck of flavor. They have only one person in restaurant that busy with phone orders and there’s no time for people who seat inside.
October 03 · Natalya VershininaOne of my favorite places to get outstanding Spanish food. It was magnificent. The people are very welcoming, friendly, and excellent servers. Highly recommend to anyone. Worth the 1 hour train ride from the financial district 👍
July 28 · Angel Gonzalez IIMaybe we made the wrong choice on the menu, but the food was not worth it. We were expecting a platter with the best of the Peruvian kitchen. However we got served a plate with nothing else than deepfried, cheap cuts of meat. Where is the love? The beef (stated on the menu) was not on there. Eventhough we mentioned, there was no compensation whatsoever. The desert was good, but not outstanding. We will probably not be back here. Staff was friendly. Restroom: super clean.
