May 21 · B. NosamSo, first and foremost I am really glad a new restaurant decided to open in the neighborhood. The decor imo is really nice tasteful, good choice of flatware and glassware quality pieces even the chopsticks. (Look at some of the pics to see for yourself)Now I tried to test the quality of the food here by ordering chicken fried rice and I was disappointed now keep in mind its only ~$8 but the rice isn't sticky, or flavorful. If your just trying to fill your stomach your better off buying pre-packaged fried rice from Trader Joe's further down Metropolitan. But the real star of the show here is the sashimi from what I have experienced is the sashimi. The quality of the pieces were really high, the salmon, tuna belly and yellowtail really melt in your mouth with just the right amount of fat content.IMO if your coming here your money is best spent on the sushi and sashimi.
July 07 · Justin BarrowThey state that they're under "new management", when in reality it is the same owners, same garbage service, same old sushi, although nowadays they will give you a smaller portion; yet, charge you more. Tried to place an order over the phone, repeated it 6 times and they still messed it up!!! I never post reviews online; yet, their service, take-out (whether you call in to place an order for pick up, or walk-in and place an order for take-out) is just horrible. Their dining experience, the entire restaurant always smells like ammonium it takes forever for them to service your table. Asking them to refill your tea, and they'll give you the stink eye, as though "how dare you make me get up from using Facebook/Snapchat/Instagram and service you.... The paying customer!!! And they still expect a 25% tip!!!
July 27 · Mike FatahVisited this establishment with my friend for dinner on 7/2/21. It was a quiet small aquatint place. We both had water with lemon, two japanese sodas along with our appitizers of crispy spring rolls & pork gyoza which were delicious. Then came our entrees of Thai basil beef with rice and we both split pineapple fried rice. Everything was great. Definitely check out Wakamatsu 2.
July 05 · Charles ValenzaAverage sushi place. Nothing special. The soy sauce it was supposedly “low sodium” but it was actually one of the most salty soy ever!!! The day I went my friend told the server that it was my bday, and after a while he came back saying “sorry the boss is here otherwise I would’ve asked one of the guys to do something for you” It was weird…
