What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Wangs, the menu offers a tempting array of options, but certain items consistently stand out as essential must-tries for the full Asian-Southern fusion experience.
First and foremost, you must try the signature Korean Style Wings. Available in 3, 6, 9, or 25 pieces, these whole jumbo wings are the restaurant’s claim to fame. Customers frequently praise their perfect crispness and the balance of savory and sweet in the sauces, with options like the classic Wangs Hot Sauce or Wangs Not-Hot Sauce. The fried chicken is often complimented for being juicy, succulent, and well-seasoned.
Next up is the Popcorn Chicken. This smaller, boneless option is great for sharing or as a lighter main, marinated in buttermilk and black pepper, and is one of the most ordered items. For a more substantial meal, the Bahn Mi Sandwich is highly recommended, as it brilliantly showcases the Vietnamese influence in the fusion concept. It takes their delicious fried chicken and serves it up on a crispy French baguette with traditional bánh mì accoutrements.
Finally, no meal at Wangs is complete without exploring the inventive side dishes. The Mac & Cheese (made with cheddar, fontina cheese, and a gochugaru bread crumb topping) and the Cornbread (a mini loaf served with salted scallion butter) are consistently highlighted as crowd favorites. Also, consider the Grits made with coconut milk and scallion butter for a comforting, yet unique twist on a Southern staple. The homemade beverages, such as the Ginger Soda or Blueberry Hibiscus Iced Tea, also offer a refreshing counterpoint to the rich, savory chicken. While the dipping sauces are an extra cost, options like the Cilantro And Lime Aioli and Wangs Hot Honey are deemed well worth the additional expense to elevate the chicken’s flavor profile. For an ultimate spread of savory goodness, consider one of the side sampler options to get a taste of everything that makes the Wangs' menu so special.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was pretty good.. the chicken itself was crispy and really tasty, although it was super thin like a schnitzel. But overall the sandwich was dry and kinda bland. It needs something more, like a sweet or spicy element would be nice, even something pickled - I think a good sauce would do it wonders. Also a bit expensive - $15 cash or $17 card ..for one sandwich. After I paid, I asked if they have any hot sauce (there was a tiny cup of sauce sitting right there), and she said $1 extra. I said no thanks. I had high hopes, but got a "just take your food, and move along" experience. Kinda disappointing. A dry sandwich should come with some sauce. Maybe I'll give it another shot.
September 07 · ApostolosThis was good not great. Fries weren’t bad. Chicken was nice and crispy but I wasn’t in love with their sauce options. I would prefer like a sweet and spicy sauce or some more traditional flavors. The dipping sauce was good but I didn’t like that it was extra and kind of expensive (1.25 each). The lime soda was good but I think it could have been a touch sweeter. I would go back to try some other sides and the spicy wings. We got the classic
July 14 · Kyana IfillI ordered the Wangs with Hot Sauce and Mac and Cheese. The wings themselves had an even crunchy breading, with a beautiful carmel coating to them. The sauce was delightful in spice and had a careful heat that built throughout your mouth. It’s on the sweeter end, which at first was a little confusing, but ended up being a nice contrast to the heat of the wings. The chicken itself was not as juicy or seasoned as I was expecting, which left a little bit more reliance on the flavor of the sauceThe Mac and Cheese looked phenomenal and was a nice texture in noodle. However, there was a heavy spiced flavor profile, something like a clove or cinnamon that cut through the saltiness that I was expecting. The gochugaru breadcrumbs was a great texture combination. If you enjoy a thick, cheesy mac and cheese with a strong cheddar profile, this would work for you!
August 11 · Stephanie DuanWho would turn down an opportunity to eatAsian-inspired soul food. I read about this place on Instagram and I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! The wings were delicious. I got mine with the Wang hot sauce. The wings are a nice size with crunch and lots of flavor. I also got the mac n cheese which was quite good, but in my opinion, a little expensive for the size. Even still, I felt satisfied just having the wings and mac n cheese but I hope to try some of the other items one day. Beware... it's not an eat-in restaurant. There is some seating in front, but very little. Also, the beverage menu is limited. The cashier was super nice and I will definitely return.
August 27 · Jason WarleyI literally just picked up my order and scrambled to write a review as fast as possible. It’s SO. DANG. GOOD. The boneless wings? Fire. The fries? Fire. The potato salad? Fire. The kimchi? FIRE. The sauces? Yum. It was a brief interaction at the window but the staff was all smiles and so friendly!
