What is worth choosing
When faced with the expansive menu at Yea Jip BBQ, local diners in New Jersey have many excellent choices, but a few dishes consistently stand out as essential selections for a complete experience. The heart of the restaurant’s appeal lies in its Korean Barbecue, and as such, the Yangyum Galbi (Marinated Beef Short Ribs) and Bulgogi (Marinated Thinly Sliced Ribeye Beef) are must-tries. These marinated meats are celebrated for their flavor and freshness, embodying the best of table-side grilling.
Beyond the grill, Yea Jip BBQ excels in traditional Korean comfort foods. The Galbi Tang (Beef Short Rib Soup with radish and scallion) is a highly recommended soup, perfect for a warming and deeply satisfying meal. Another excellent choice is the Stone Pot Rice section. Specifically, the Galbi Stone Pot Rice or Bulgogi Stone Pot Rice offers a delicious combination of sizzling rice and marinated meat, with the advantage of developing the coveted crispy rice (nurungji) at the bottom of the hot pot.
To complement the main dishes, starting with an appetizer like Pajun (Scallion pancake with assorted seafood) or Bin Dae Duk (Mung bean pancake) is a classic choice, and these are often praised in customer reviews. Finally, exploring the hearty stews is highly recommended; the Kimchi Jigae or Haemul Soondubu (Spicy seafood stew with soft tofu) offer robust and spicy flavors that are central to Korean cuisine.
In summary, Yea Jip BBQ (옛집) provides New Jersey residents with a valuable and reliable location to enjoy a wide spectrum of authentic Korean food, from the interactive fun of Korean BBQ to the nourishing embrace of traditional stews and specialty dishes, all in a welcoming environment in the heart of Fort Lee.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Horrible food and late with everything. Waitress and waiters seem disinterested and downright rude. Side dishes are too salty and they don’t refill it unless you ask. Food taste like cheap Chinese food because it’s too sweet. Most dishes are $30 but it taste like $6 Chinese food. This place is more for foreigners who want Americanized buffet food because everything taste like orange chicken. Go somewhere else that has good service and good Korean food. This is not Korean food.
September 05 · sam tunYea Jip BBQ WE in Fort Lee, NJ. What kind of banchan do you like? I love a veggie forward banchan-filled with kimchi and spicy marinated cucumbers! At @yeajip_newjersey the pork and beef are equally delicious and fresh! You can't go wrong with anything marinated and I loved the galbi. The bulgogi was of course delicious as well. I loved this local BYOB Korean BBQ spot! Would def recommend!Follow @thehungrysw for more NJ/NYC suggestions!Yang yum Galbi 양념갈비ODaegi Gallbi 돼지갈비Bulgogi 불고기Pajun 파전Bin Dae Duk 빈대떡
September 05 · Lauren SONE OF THE TOP 3 MEALS I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I haven't been too educated on Korean cuisine, but this was truly a memorable experience. This place had everything you want in a restaurant. Where to start...The restaurant is spacious with tons of seating. The tables have the grill built into the center and all your grilled meals get prepared right in front of you. The staff is one of the friendliest and most accommodating I have seen. They were absolutely wonderful and I can't thank them enough. At first glance, I thought the prices were alittle bit high, but the amount of food you get off every item could feed a family of 5.The food is out of this world. The flavor combinations are so unique and hit my tastebuds like a truck! We were educated on how to roll up various combinations into a lettuce leaf or radish slice and each bite was better than the last. The marinades, fresh ingredients, and combinations were absolutely insane. This place is an absolute must! I can't say enough positive things about this place!
September 22 · John HYea Jip on Main Street Fort Lee is a hidden gem with authentic and delicious Korean dishes. Skip the meters and park in their free parking lot located behind the restaurant. As soon as you walk inside, you are greeted with friendlystaffs and beautiful Korean barbecue aroma. Minutes after ordering your meal, the entire table is filled with some of the best homemade Korean side dishes. Seafood pancake is crispy and chewy with lots and lots of scallions. Their stews are very flavorful and goes very well all the barbecue meats. Galbi is super tender and juicy with that lip smacking traditional marinade. Spicy chicken is grilled to perfection. Bulgogi also comes withglass noodles, onions, rice cakes cooked on a special cast iron plate unlike many places which is just cut-up ribeye. Enjoy watching and smelling the barbecue sizzling on your table while eating all with their staffs attentively grilling and cuttingup each item. Stop by Yea Jip and have a taste of Korea in Jersey’s Koreatown!
August 31 · itzelenahoSpace is smaller and cute. Grills at the table. Jogi Guyi ( broiled Croaker)were good size, 2 per order , soft and flavorful. Seafood Pajun was the best I have ever had! Fried just right just the right amount of seafood and batter. Jaeyuk Bokum ( pan fried spicy pork and onions) was flavorful but the meat was too mushy for me.
