The concept of the "Thai Smashed Burger" is what makes Zaab Burger so special. The menu, while concise, is focused on delivering a punch of flavor in every bite. This is evident in offerings like the "Zaab Burger," the "Jaew BBQ Burger," and the "Ka Pow Burger," which draw inspiration from the diverse and aromatic tastes of Thailand. While one reviewer noted a lack of seasoning in a particular dish, another enthusiastically praised the Zaab burger and fries for being "juicy and packed with flavors," even for someone who doesn't typically love burgers. The signature "etched Siam inspired bun" adds a creative and visually appealing touch that sets these burgers apart. The restaurant's atmosphere is casual, making it a perfect spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The establishment is also known for its fast service, which is a significant highlight for New Yorkers on the go. The entire experience is geared toward providing a quick, delicious, and unique meal without any fuss.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Was walking by and thought, why not.Got the double Zaab burger which had a pickled jalepeno. Verdict was great size and density, loved the etched Siam inspired bun but it was extremely greasy and lacked seasoning or flavor. The grease was actually dripping out of the wrapper before I even unwrapped it.I really wanted to love it but alas, for the neighborhood it’s still KO Burgers for the knock out.
April 10 · G HEasily my favorite spot in Essex Market!Their Zaab burger & fries are juicy and packed with flavors and that’s coming from someone who’s not even that crazy about burgers lol
July 05 · L PWhen I went to nyc I was looking for a great day trip and Zaab made it happen. The burger was cooked to perfection and it was amazing. The fries were crunchy and crispy and the seasonings was top point. The whole experience was amazing and most of all the guy running the shop was super kind. Overall if this small shop was an actual restaurant, I would go every day.
April 01 · Dylan FisherThe toppings and flavors are the standout taste, Thai spices are not normally what you expect with a burger. But the taste of the meat didn’t really come through for me which is holding this back from a higher rating. The guys behind the counter were super friendly and the Zaab fries are tasty. Overall a solid burger spot doing something different with their dishes. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area!
April 27 · Ryan TammaroZaab was the second stop of my smash burger tour of the lower east side. The food hall in which it resides is pretty cool. Unfortunately, they were out of most items, but the lone cook/cashier did his best to compensate. I was able to order their OG single burger but the one with the sticky rice buns was unavailable. Too bad. The burger here, while solid, was my least favorite compared to KO and Gotham Burger Social Club. The atmosphere was better here than KO. The lone cook/cashier, while unable to speak fluent English, was the nicest of the bunch. We used Google Translate (to Spanish) and got the job done.
