### What is Worth Choosing: A Culinary Deep Dive
What sets Zaffron Bloom apart for New Jersey food enthusiasts is the depth and authenticity of its menu. It truly offers a complete Persian and Middle Eastern experience:
The Appetizers section alone is a journey. Start with the creamy, tangy Kashke-e-Bademjoon (an eggplant dip) or the cooling Must-o-Khiar (yogurt with cucumber and mint). The crispy, golden crust of Persian Crispy Rice "TAHDIG" is a signature dish and a must-try for its unique texture. The DIP TRIO provides a perfect way to sample their best-loved spreads.
For mains, the Kebab Grill section is legendary. You can choose from the classic Kebab Koobideh (perfectly seasoned ground meat), the elegant Kebab "BARG" (thinly sliced filet), or the decadent SHISHLIK LAMB CHOPS. For a truly comprehensive meal, consider one of the COMBO PLATTERS, which are ideal for families, date nights, or office lunches, offering a variety of kebabs to share.
Beyond the grill, the Traditional Stews—the heart of Persian home cooking—are a must-have, especially on a chilly New Jersey evening. The PERSIAN HERB AND BEEF STEW "GHORMEH SABZI" is a rich, savory, and herb-packed classic, and the CHICKEN POMEGRANATE STEW "FESENJOON" offers a tantalizing sweet and sour complexity.
The restaurant also boasts excellent lighter fare and dedicated options for non-meat eaters, including Falafel Wraps and a hearty VEGGIE KEBAB platter, ensuring that the authentic flavors of the region can be enjoyed by all.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We were on a short visit to the US and craving authentic Persian food. After reading strong recommendations, we made a detour to Zaffron Bloom before heading into Manhattan—and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We started with kashke bademjan, a warm eggplant dip topped with caramelized onions, dried mint, and tangy kashk. The silky eggplant had a deep roasted flavor, perfectly balanced by the bright, slightly sour whey sauce and the gentle crunch of fried onions. It paired beautifully with the soft, warm pita bread. The tahdig with ghormeh sabzi was a standout—a golden, crispy rice crust layered with the rich, herb-packed Persian stew of slow-cooked beef, kidney beans, parsley, cilantro, fenugreek, and dried lime. The contrast of textures—the crunch of tahdig against the tender meat and greens—was pure comfort food. For a refreshing counterpoint, the mast-o-khiar brought thick, creamy yogurt with diced cucumber and dried mint. Its cool, tangy profile made it the perfect palate cleanser between richer bites. The salad olivieh—a Persian chicken and potato salad with peas, carrots, pickles, and a mayonnaise-based dressing—was hearty yet bright, with the pickles adding a welcome tang to cut through the creaminess. For mains, we enjoyed two classics. The chicken kebab platter featured juicy saffron-marinated chicken cubes with fluffy basmati rice streaked in vibrant saffron, plus a smoky charred tomato. The koobideh kebab platter delivered a perfectly seasoned ground beef skewer—tender, flavorful, and just smoky enough—served with the same saffron rice and grilled tomato. Both came with a garden sumac salad, a crisp mix of lettuce, tomato, and onion tossed with tangy sumac for freshness and balance. We sat outside in perfect summer weather, which made the experience even more memorable. Every dish was flavorful, portions were generous, and service was warm. This was a detour we were very glad we made—Zaffron Bloom truly delivers authentic Persian taste.
August 10 · navid ghannadThis restaurant is truly exceptional! The food, the service, everything is outstanding. Ana is a gem who brings so much warmth to the experience, and her desserts and drinks are next-level. You have to try her fresh watermelon mint drink and cherry sundae with pashmak, SO good! The kashke bademjoon is to die for and the zereshk polo is just pure perfection. Every dish they make is packed with flavor, and the meats are unbelievably tender and juicy. What makes this place even more special is that it’s 100% family-run and you can genuinely taste the love in every bite. If you’re lucky enough to live nearby (we happily make the drive in from Jersey City), and haven’t stopped in yet, do yourself a favor and go. You’ll only wish you had discovered it sooner. Zaffron Bloom is a true gem in every way.
June 28 · KLCozy eatery with friendly service and delicious food. You can taste the exotic spices and fresh ingredients in every dish. Portions were big enough to share. Unfortunately, we were too full from our meal to try any desserts. I guess It just gives us an excuse to go back.
September 07 · Wannatorn PongpanichA Hidden Gem with Heart and Flavor!Had a wonderful experience at this charming, family-run restaurant. It felt like I was eating at a neighbor’s home — the warmth and hospitality were genuine and heartfelt. The entire restaurant is run by a mother-daughter duo, and you can truly taste the love and authenticity in every dish. The mom does all the cooking, and the daughter, who was our hostess, was so gracious and welcoming. As a vegetarian, I was delighted with the flavorful options. We originally went for the Persian rice (which was fantastic!), but I recommend going with a group of four or more so you can sample a variety of dishes — everything we tried was delicious! The tea was exceptional, and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs. It’s rare to find places like this anymore — true mom-and-pop restaurants serving real, home-cooked meals. A must-visit spot! Let’s support them and make sure they stay in business!
May 30 · DKThis family restaurant deserves more than five stars, the owners greet you very warmly, take into account your wishes. The interior itself is very cozy, here you can buy a variety of teas, we were interested in black tea with saffron, we have not seen anything like this anywhere. You can also buy T-shirts and other things, a kind of store in the restaurant. Pleasant music plays. From the dishes we ordered rack of lamb shashlik and it was fantastic, the meat was so tender that it almost did not need to be chewed, the taste was incredible. We also ordered salmon in pomegranate sauce and this dish surprised us so much, sweet and sour salmon is great. Chicken breast shashlik was also great with the taste of butter, it is excellent. From the appetizers we ordered smok eggplant and kehke badimdzhan as well as borant esfonage, it was also delicious. We liked everything here, I definitely recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant, we want to come back again soon . Parking along the road is free any day of the week.
