It's the kind of place that embodies the true spirit of New York—a welcoming, cozy spot where locals and visitors can come together for a great time. Unlike the flashy, overpriced venues that are common in Manhattan, this bar offers an authentic and relaxed atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. It successfully merges the convivial traditions of a classic Irish pub with the energetic vibe of a New York City bar, creating a space that feels both timeless and perfectly suited for the present day. Whether you're looking to catch up with old friends, enjoy some live music, or simply unwind after a long day, 11th St. Bar provides the perfect backdrop. The friendly staff and laid-back crowd contribute to an environment where you can feel comfortable and completely at ease, a true rarity in such a fast-paced metropolis.
The atmosphere is best described as casual and cozy, with a rustic charm that harkens back to an older, more soulful New York. The interior, with its warm wood, exposed brick, and tin ceilings, creates an inviting space that feels both historic and lived-in. While it might have a "rock n' roll" aesthetic, the sound levels are kept at a civilized, conversation-friendly volume, ensuring that live music and conversation can coexist harmoniously. The bar is known for being a hub for a diverse crowd, attracting locals and groups who appreciate its unpretentious charm. It's the kind of spot where you can sit back with a pint and kick back with your friends, without the pressure of a scene. The jukebox adds to the chilled-out vibe, and during sports events, the bar transforms into a lively and passionate venue for fans, especially for a significant portion of NYC's Liverpool FC fans on match days. This ability to be a quiet place for reflection one moment and a vibrant gathering spot the next is a key part of its enduring appeal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Very nice place to meet up. Sunday night with Irish music. Wonderful experience.
July 22 · Lotto LotHad a wicked time at 11th St. Bar in the East Village. If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with a solid vibe, this is it. The atmosphere is chilled, and the staff are super friendly, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. They’ve got a great selection of drinks, especially if you’re into craft beers or classic cocktails. Plus, the jukebox adds to the whole vibe. It’s a no-frills kind of place, but in the best way. You’re not paying for fancy decor or overpriced cocktails, you’re paying for a good time, decent drinks, and a place where you can kick back with mates. If you’re in the area, definitely worth popping by for a pint or two.
August 30 · john vasquezThis bar is exactly how a bar is supposed to be, it smells like alcohol, they play sports on their TVs BUT the grilled cheese sandwich is a perfect grilled cheese, it’s simple, not your 2 hr cue for some $33 grilled cheese, it’s exactly what it’s supposed to be & the highlight is this little wasabi-taste mustard jar they serve it with, definitely worth going back.
July 18 · Geoffrey Santa MonicaI cannot rate the food since I only had a drink. The drink was good. The service was okay. There weren't live music (maybe I stopped by too early?)
April 22 · Albert ChangLoved this bar. Audrey, the bartender is very nice. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. The space is nice. The people are friendly. The prices are reasonable for the area. I will definitely be back.
