★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Knocked out another bodega as I continue my mission to find the best BEC in NYC. This guy was cheesy. I think they loaded it up with an extra slice and I loved every bite. The bacon was crispy and the service was quick. Another surprise as I walked around waiting for my sandwich was the craft beer selection. Easily the best selection I’ve ever seen in the city. They even had a fridge of some cold craft six packs. Solid spot.
September 26 · Taylor SnipesWe stopped at this little gem while on the Sex And The City tour. The owners were amazing & so kind to us, even took time to take our picture! My throat was sore & I had lost my voice...I needed something warm so I had the French Vanilla Cappuccino...my first time & let me tell you! It was the most delicious thing I had while in NYC. The store had all things warm & hot you needed...I mean boiling hot ginger water for your tea, coffee, tea bags, etc! I want to go back just for the Cappuccino! But we ended purchasing alot of things...the bora bora lemon ginger drink, halls, boiled eggs, cinnamon buns, old school candy...it was great! 😋
April 17 · Shannon RenaeAs I walked into the store around 8 am, 9/24 I saw the young lady and man who work there cleaning the shelf where the candies reside. I asked for my usual sandwich, which is a scrambled egg and cheese on an everything Bagel with ketchup. Which he didnt do right. The egg was not scrambled and he didnt put ketchup. As he proceeded to walk around the counter and put on his glove, not gloves to make my sandwich. Without even washing his hands prior to putting on the glove, after cleaning. ⏰️ 🚩🤢 As I am watching him he grabs the bagel which are wrapped in plastic. By slicing through the plastic in half which I have seen many time getting my sandwich here for about the past month, I may have micro plastic in me. Slices through the bagel uses the gloved hand to put one half in the toaster and his bare hand to put the other half in. That's the second alarm. ⏰️ As he is cooking the egg, he pulls out the stack of cheese as I am talking to the young lady and pointing out that he is not supposed to be using his bare hands to touch such product to do such a task. Letting him know that I am watching him I ask him to please use one slice of cheese. He says okay. Third (3rd) Alarm ⏰️. When he was done packing my sandwich I told him he should know better than that if he had his food hanlers license. He said he didn't touch the cheese with his bare hands. Which I saw with my eyes. So he's a liar. I then asked him does he have his food Handlers license. He mumbled something which I took as a no. He had a attitude and that was being put into this sandwich which I ended up not consuming. What a waste of time and money and my breath. I will never order a sandwich while he is there or ever. I wish people would take making food a bit more seriously. As a culinary I was highly fustrated and disappointed. I wish them the best. I was going to pray over my food and eat it but I just can't know all that went into making this meal that is supposed to nourish me and my body for the day. P.s. the egg looked slightly undercooked.
September 24 · ChrisWhen my sister’s international card was declined the cashier became incredibly hostile and accusatory. We quickly found cash, but that seemed to make him even angrier. Bad experience!
December 30 · Ren BromageLost my credit card here. They refused to look for it or try to help in any way. Instead they told me "you better call your bank and cancel it, issue you a new one. Someone's probably been using it."
