Adeline Deli Introduce
For New Jersey residents in search of truly authentic and diverse Central American cuisine, Adeline Deli in Rahway stands out as a unique and treasured local gem. Far from being a one-dimensional eatery, Adeline Deli successfully operates as a multi-cuisine establishment, functioning as a Mexican restaurant, a Salvadoran restaurant, and a classic Deli. This distinctive fusion offers the best of both worlds: from highly-praised, authentic Latin American street food staples to beloved New Jersey breakfast and sandwich classics.
The core of Adeline Deli's appeal, and what draws many dedicated locals, is its expertly prepared Hispanic fare. Customer reviews consistently highlight the exceptional quality of their Salvadoran specialties, particularly the Pupusas (stuffed corn tortillas) and Baleadas (Honduran-style folded flour tortillas). Patrons often describe the food as "authentic" and "the BEST Mexican/hispanic food I have ever eaten," often specifically traveling for the Pupusas de Queso (Cheese), Pupusas Revueltas (Pork & Cheese), or the filling Baleada Con Carne (Flour tortilla with beans, cheese, and grilled beef for $8.00).
Beyond the Central American favorites, the menu maintains a strong foundation in classic Mexican dishes, including a variety of well-regarded Tacos (Steak, Chicken, Carnitas, and Al Pastor, with three for $15.60) and hearty Tortas (Mexican sandwiches on a Portuguese roll with staples like Bistec and Pollo, both $9.99). Additionally, the Deli component ensures that morning commuters and lunch-goers can grab essential New Jersey fare, such as Breakfast Sandwiches (Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese is a must-try for $6.50) and generous Deli Sandwiches like the Italian ($12.50) and Pastrami ($10.00). This versatility makes it a perfect stop for any time of day, satisfying a wide array of cravings with Comfort food and Quick bite options.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Probably the best pupusa I've gotten anywhere in nj and I've tried a lot. The baleadas was also excellent. Regular deli sandwiches are good too but I specifically come here for the pupusa and baleadas. First time I went I got a hot pastrami and melted provolone. Parking sucks and you gota park up the street around the corner and walk down but it's worth it.
May 16 · Mike MeistrichI’ve tried numerous Mexican restaurants in my life but this is BY FAR the BEST Mexican/hispanic food I have ever eaten! The food is so bomb and authentic and the price is incredibly good for the portion! The food here is to die for. The service is incredible too! I will be visiting this place quite often from now on! Really happy I found this place!
May 26 · Roxy MaoTakeout was delicious. Cashier was friendly. We got 1 order of Pupusas Mixtas (soooo tasty and flavorful) and Al Pastor Torta (it was good). The pickled veggies and red hot sauce were a great complement to everything. Excited to try other dishes from Adeline.
March 30 · Hao WeinmannDelicious food for a couple friends, one vegetarian, one gluten free.
September 11 · AudreyThe food is always amazing and priced just right. It has that authentic taste, and the workers are super friendly. I’m really into the pupusas and tortas—definitely my favorites so far. This spot is a real hidden gem in Rahway!
