★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great pescatarian Italian restaurant with nice ambiance and some unique menu items. Highly recommend the rock shrimp and madai crudo, the pizzetta and the tuna lasagna. Seacuterie was very special but would have liked the bites to be more substantial. Cocktails were also excellent
June 02 · Brian YehThe food was creative and solid. We started with the Madai, which was juicy and refreshing. The Yellowtail Agnolotti was pure smoked fish heaven, while the daily special of Uni Linguine was chock full of uni and sea briney flavor. So why only 3 stars? They clearly forgot our entrees and we waited over half an hour for them while tables that had been seated later than us got their full meals and finished them.We had to ask multiple times for an update on our entrees before they finally arrived, and it was clear from our unfriendly server that he didn't want to do anything to comp us--he kept apologizing but not providing a reason for the delay. However, when it was clear we weren't thrilled, he finally relented and offered us a complimentary dessert. We got the Chocolate Cheesecake, which was fine but forgettable.Too bad--there's some good stuff here, but lackluster service really dampens an experience.
July 09 · Josephine LeeDefinitely check out this new spot in the back of Travelers Poets and Friends. The focus is local pescatarian Italian food. The vegetable-forward appetizers were the best things we ate (blue oyster mushrooms, white asparagus, and the burrata were all phenomenal). They have an interesting “seacuterie” menu of cured fish we didn’t try but would try next time. Service was impeccable, atmosphere was great. 4 stars for the food - the yellowtail pasta was good but I wouldn’t order it again, and my mocktail was beautiful but not particularly flavorful.I definitely recommend checking this place out! They have a cool bar in the back with cool lighting - a cozy/funky spot to meet a friend or a date.
April 11 · Morgan BookheimerLast night we had an incredible private dinner at Alaluna. The restaurant is gorgeous, it has a few concepts in the same space. Our group of twenty started with drinks from the impressive mixology menu and wine list. We tried a lot of different plates, the seafood is super fresh. I loved everything they served us. We finished with their small batch gelato made in house. Their kitchen is very accommodating for allergies too. It was such a vibe to arrive with a live jazz trio playing beautiful music. We're looking forward to returning soon
June 04 · Alexandra MargaritaNo wonder "Seacuterie" isn't a thing, our whole table couldn't stomach any of it. It also came with vinegar drenched cauliflower in the middle, which was obviously disgusting. After this and two 2/10 apps I decided to opt for the $62 strip steak (to get as far away from the chefs seafood philosophy as possible, right? Wrong, I received grey brain matter that tasted like it was frozen 10 mins before they popped it into the microwave, and it had crispy skin like a bird? The servers took our food back and comped the meal like they knew how bad it was themselves, really sad actually. Felt like I was on a hidden camera prank show. Great location and prime real estate, but the food is better off being given to rodents. All had stomach issues afterwards. Can anybody tell me what's on this plate?
