Absolutely love this place! Seriously the best byrek in Brooklyn, every kind is yummy!!also.. if you like tres leches from Albania, trust me, JUST GET THE TRES LECHES. It’s the best!!!We swing by and grab a byrek every time we go on a walk, Zana is so sweet and we love going there! We have tried the stuffed peppers as well as those were also tasty. This place reminds us of getting byrek in Albania (but this is way better quality, bigger and there is more filling!). The petulla are also yummy!10/10 recommend, I swear I dk the owners and I’m not related to them 😂

Went in and saw delicious house made stuffed grape leaves and asked for an order. They were 5 for $5… came home to enjoy them and opened the container to find they packed me were canned premade stuffed grape leaves instead.Extremely unprofessional and sneaky to try to save a buck at the customers expense. I wouldn’t have paid $1/piece for canned grape leaves. Called to confront the woman who helped me and she said next time she will give me the right ones. Won’t be going back.

Alpha Bakery is, in my opinion, the best Greek market in Brooklyn and is in a tie with Titan Foods for best Greek market in NYC period. Bottom line, they are as good as Titan in a smaller space. The bureks, cakes cookies and to-go meat and bean dishes are all top notch. The honey cookies, the tiramisu and galakto Boureko w keniaifi are insane! Don't pass on the walnut cake, the tres leches and everything else! There is an equally amazing array of to-go lunch/ dinner dishes. The stuffed peppers, veal, chicken, lemon potatoes, orzo based meat dishes and stewed gigantes are like a diety made them! Each dish is worth the trip in its own right .Everything is homemade in house, fairly priiced and the portions are hearty!I've lived in NYC since 2007 and have traveled extensively throughout the city trying restaurants and markets across the 5 Borroughs. I have friends from Greece and across the Medeteranean. I've had homemade Greek food. Thier's is better. Finally My wife spent a semester in Athens and lived above a baskery, Aris and Anna's baked/prepared meals are better than what she ate there. Again, I can't emphasize this enough, the freshness and high quality ingredients they use put them on another level culinarily. Finally, Ana, Ari and their staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Further, if you're looking for Greek cooking and baking staples, he has them all, along with a super variety of fresh olives. When shopping there, I truly feel like I'm in Europe. Do yourself a favor and check them out!
