★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The terrible service was saved by the really delicious food. Rude staff that were just talking amongst themselves while customers were waiting. The food was great, we ordered the Caesar salad and the meatballs. Caesar salad had an amazing crunch to it with a fantastic and homemade Caesar dressing. The meatballs were meaty, well balanced, and were served with an amazing tomato sauce.
January 16 · Kamy ChongThere is nothing wrong with Bacan, you can feel there is a lot of good intentions behind the restaurant, it just somehow feels a little chaotic.Service was friendly from the start, the waitress was helpful in navigating the different options and we ordered a lot of small plates.Decoration is minimal with mostly white walls and a few posters. The tables are too small to accommodate both serving plates, wine, water and the dishes. And since they tend to bring everything at the same time, it quickly becomes awkward to eat as you manage table real estate. The standout dish was the fritto misto: it came out piping hot, well seasoned and one the best batter we have eaten all year. Bravo 👏The suppli came in lukewarm which somehow tampered our enthusiasm for the dish but the taste was really good. Both the chicory salad and the agridolce toast were beautifully paired, the taste was awesome in both cases. Overall, good price/quality ratio on food.Service was somehow chaotic, different people serving us felt a little impersonal, dishes coming all at the same time and too small of a table. Still positive but room for improvement to smooth out the service. Personnel seemed completely overwhelmed.Recommended if you are in the area.P.S.: please leave a 👍 if you found this review helpful in directing your choices, thank you 🙏
September 29 · Mister MorelightSecond time dining here. Impressive authentic-style Italian with an amazing selection of cocktails and nice wines. Very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area. Better cicchetti than Venice itself. Loved the Rigatoni pasta with nduja. Super friendly staff and nice vibes. Great place to bring my Italian friends when they visit or when us expats are craving good Italian. Will be back.
February 04 · Stephen RacanoAmazing food and the friendliest staff! They made great recommendations for my partner (vegetarian) and me (the omnivore). The wine by the glass selection is incredible too - they were nice enough to let us try a little bit of each as a little tasting! Make sure to save room for dessert.
May 15 · Julia MoonHad the best meal here 2 weekends in a row! The spicy vodka sauce is hands down the BEST vodka sauce I’ve ever had (and it’s my favorite sauce so I get it a lot). The pesto was similarly fantastic - so herbaceous and fresh! The eggplant parm was mind blowing and also the best my partner and I have ever had, and he orders it everywhere! We loved that it wasn’t fried. It just melted in our mouths, and the marinara sauce was so flavorful! The chicory salad, tiramisu, and cocktails were similarly on point. The service was incredible both times! I had jaw surgery a few weeks ago and am on a “no chew” diet so I requested my pasta be overcooked, and both times they were so accommodating and also checked in to make sure it came out good for me. Tonight the new manager, Luis, noticed me massaging my jaw and asked if I wanted ice to apply to my face. So incredibly thoughtful! Bacàn has earned its place on our favorites list!
